DN308 Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 I designed a mission with the need to place airfields on the map historically existing but not designed on the map. my problem is that there are some trees on the place I want my runway. is there a way to remove them from the map or only devs can do that? 1

The trees they have been chopping down have mostly been at the end of runways. It doesn't really qualify as a bug, but doing a bug report might help. They just added some new airfields, so that either means it is an ongoing thing or they are totally done and you are SOL. With the new map for BoN being put together, I would guess the latter is more likely.
DN308 Posted May 1, 2020 Author Posted May 1, 2020 Ok, i will tempt my luck with the bug report. The BoBP is a great map. We can do a lot of things with it, But there are still somethings missing. Airfields, shipyards, roads, etc. The focus on inland, mainly the Bulge and the Rheinland makes the coast and the bomb campaign or allied air operations during the 1942-1945 not impossible but really difficult.
IckyATLAS Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 Trees are one big thing in the pursue of "realism" to my point of view. They cannot be destroyed by bombs, they do not burn, they are completely invulnerable. I would like to have a TreesFire effect besides CityFire. It is absolutely unrealistic when buildings are completely destroyed by powerful bombs and on fire and all the trees a few meters around in perfect shape. At least take away the trees when they are covered by a ground object like craters. This said I suppose that it is all dependent on how the trees and vegetation in general are generated on the map, and how one can create ingame as the simulator runs patches where trees and vegetation cannot be generated. Nothing impossible but dev resources to do it. Let's hope we get this kind of improvement over time. 1 1
