The side strape broke after several hundered hours of use. I contacted HP for a spare part but did not get feedback yet.

I will not sent it back in any case it works just fine for me and I found a very easy repair. I put a piece of bicycle tube over the broken part. Works better than before.

I think the breakage is related how I put the HMD on and off because of my glasses (I pull and lift the front over the glasses, probably better to just lift the back part first. But HP should strengthen that part in the next revision.

My cable broke so my headset is being warrantied.

@Gomoto Try placing your face (with glasses on) into the mask and pulling the back over your head. This method doesn't disturb your glasses and you won't need to pull the straps as far.

Another solution is VR Lens Lab. Made in Germany with fast order fulfillment. And have just dropped prices nearly in half.  https://vr-lens-lab.com/

If you are under warranty you should hit them up.  They are really responsive and are one day shipping a new headset to me.

Great lead, but they don't seem to offer lenses for HP Reverb...?

I bought my pair a year ago and must have misremembered the name of the  company. Here you go - https://vroptician.com/prescription-lens-inserts/hp-reverb/

I received my inserts from vr optician for my reverb just 3 weeks ago and have to say they are excellent,  the image seems sharper I'm not sure if its because i wear varifocal glasses or if my prescription was a bit out date but definitely better than wearing glasses.

If anyone is thinking of purchasing make sure you have a recent eyetest and an accurate ipd measurement.

Hi stoopy I'm really pleased with them but i can feel the top edge of the inserts on my eyebrows but its not uncomfortable.  Visually definitely better than my glasses i think they took about two weeks for delivery from germany to uk, they came in a case to keep them in if you're not using them.

Only problem now not only do i have to feel around for switches and nobs on my Hotas but also have to feel around for my glasses on my desk after playing .

I am quite short sighted and need my glasses to take a look under the hmd into the real world from time to time. I would not be able to do this without my glasses.

I finally took the plunge and ordered earlier this month - told the family it could be my upcoming Father's Day gift, and they bit - with 3 sons, they collectively thought it was a bargain. :)  Lenses should be here this coming Wednesday, really looking forward to it!

Mine just broke, how did you fit the tube? so tight? with heat?

The race bike tube was the correct size.

HP has got an outstanding customer support. I would contact them with the issue.
