inexus Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 I'm looking for whether there is a mod where the destructable buildings have been imported and replaced the existing buildings on the other maps? I wonder if this would be possible
Dutch2 Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 (edited) Yes it is possible for most common buildings see https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/61005-solved-arras-map-damaged-buildings/ Only I do not own the Tank game so in this specific case I can not help you. Edited May 16, 2020 by Dutch2
Avimimus Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 There is a difference between buildings having a 'damaged state' and buildings that can be destroyed by tanks driving into them - in fact, only the buildings in the centre of the Prokhorovka map have this feature (the outer ones are apparently invulnerable) due to it being resource intensive and a performance issue.

Leon_Portier Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 All buildings are brought into the maps by templates, which are just text files. That wouldn't require a mod, but only a edited template file and it would only work on missions using that template. You'd just have to mass change the object names to the destructible ones and make a mission or release it for mission makers.
SYN_Vander Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 (edited) Keep in mind that there are only a few (farm) houses that are destructible using multiple parts, see list below. You can't populate cities with these, only Russian villages. Given the possible performance impact I would only replace the houses in a small area where you are planning a tank battle. You have to keep in mind that your average tank battle takes place in a small area of only 10x10 km or so, which is very small compared to a mission area of an aircraft which can easily be 200x200 km or larger in one mission.
