Nil Posted February 9, 2017 Author Posted February 9, 2017 (edited) Hi guys! Please welcome our new follower: 71st_AH_Scojo ! Thank you! it helps Tante Ju a lot to follow this topic! @Gambit21: Thank you very much, please continue. No custom mission involving Ju52 is being made so far, even less a campaign, so you have the honor to make the first campaign for Junkers 52. A lot of people are waiting to try your campaign! @ Norbiee: I love the Hungarian skin , feel free to ask me to use it when we fly together! @Falke: Welcome! We will pleased if you join us online! (use our discord channel https://discord.gg/mYtxxw8 ) @Hames123 I am learning too to use the mission editor. Your idea of mission is great! Some nice screens from mission we are doing in the TransportGeschwader! Instrument Flight Rule Training! With Tante Ju, you even fly with no visibility! I was shot by the AA with fuel leaking, but I managed to land safely with no engines. Another proof that Tante Ju is a great sturdy Airplane! I really LOVE her!! My Love, My Plane, Her name is "Julie" , same nickname the French gave to her. Beautiful skin made by Don Quijote We are here to do the Job and the Job is Done! migmadmarine Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Just flew my first campaign flight out of the pocket in part 4 of the campaign, something very satisfying about flying an un-armed ambulance Ju-52 at tree top level for such a long trip. Kudos to the lone 109 I had escorting me for so quickly dispatching the two Yaks that attacked me, took only a couple of superficial hits. 1
Haza Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Gents, FYI https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/27831-last-night-taw-including-ju-52-paradrop/ 1
Gambit21 Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 A few more screenies from the scripted campaign. It's coming along nicely, if slowly. Since flying the Ju52 is mostly about the simple act of flying, I'm going for atmosphere above all else. Some pucker factor here and there as well. 5
PapaFlo Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Great News Gambit. Really looking forward to fly this campaign. Flo

migmadmarine Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Flew another supply mission in the campaign in and out of the pocket last night, made it to the airfield in the pocket fine, landed, dropped off the cargo and after 15 minutes or so in the air on the way back engine no.1 suddenly quit. This sim doesn't have random failures modeled does it? I might have over-revved the engine, but I've got engines 1 and 3 mapped to the same throttle, so I'm unsure how I could have killed the one with out the other. Didn't take any hits that I'm aware of either. In any case, have to say the aircraft handles quite well on only two engines.

migmadmarine Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 I have my engine management controls bound to the same keys, and make individual adjustments by selecting engines if required. Generally the 52 seems to not need too much attention. 1
Nil Posted February 27, 2017 Author Posted February 27, 2017 Ai My Friend Nil.. this Topic is Nice Thank you my friend! thank you for your skins! The engine 1 quit because: Over heating (we have to keep cowl shutters and Radiators open to full all the time) OR the RPM is too high (because to long in the "take off mode") Does this helps? Also, congratulations for doing the solo campaign! it is a nice experience. 1
hames123 Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 Does dropping the paratroops in random expert capture objectives for the German team? 1
Norbiee Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 It gives a Point to that specific victory zone. I belive you need 3-4? points? So its allways worth it. Sorry for late answer. 1

GrendelsDad Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 (edited) From the scripted campaign...an early morning jump in an attempt to halt the Russian counter attack.if you(not u Gambit)see this picture and do not understand what the JU52 brings to this and future games then I cannot be your internet friend. It is simply awe Inspiring. Edited March 18, 2017 by II./ZG1_GrendelsDad 3
Gambit21 Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 A few more shots of the scripted campaign... A supply drop at the front - and a little reminder that things don't always go as planned. However as the soldier demonstrates, no need to stress about it. Also, I want the name of the contractor who built that tower...outstanding work. 4
6./ZG26_McKvack Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Is everything going well with the campaign Gambit? Every picture you have posted so far looks incredible 1
Gambit21 Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Is everything going well with the campaign Gambit? Every picture you have posted so far looks incredible Going very well, if not as quickly as I would like. I probably end up spending upwards of 10 hours per mission (and at times much more problem solving a bug or strange logic bugs in the editor) just making sure timing and atmosphere is just how I want it. Test...adjust....Test...adjust.... Oops that doesn't work...find a workaround...look up and 4 hours have gone by. Mission editor logic is quirky, and navigating that burns hours. It's not like the old editor - that is both very good and very bad. It's looking good though. If you or Nil are interested in helping test drop me a pm. 3

LLv24_SukkaVR Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 I just played a mission in campaign mode with Ju-52 where i was supposed to drop paratroopers in a field right next to an occupied enemy airfield. Immediately when i was in a drop zone i ordered troopers to jump and at the same time i got shot down by fierce enemy AA from the airfield. ow the hell are you supposed to survive that kind of mission? Seems pretty hard, if not impossible. 1
Nil Posted April 7, 2017 Author Posted April 7, 2017 You need to pray, to wish that Tante Ju will hold. also, you can wait for you escort to go there to distract the AA. Good luck!
Guest deleted@30725 Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 First thing I did when I got the ju 52 - Simulated single engine failure. Land, takeoff. No problem
Gambit21 Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Another campaign shot. I might just provide the first 5 missions as a free "market test" as it were. Depending on response/downloads I'll either continue with it and complete the campaign for the upcoming system, or work on other things until the Kuban map arrives and move on to the A-20 campaign which I know will have plenty of takers. Creating these campaigns is a piss load of work, which is fine...but those hours need to be wisely spent. 4

It's a shame though that the troopers all share the same face skin! I noticed it when I was messing around in free cam and looked at them waiting to jump - robot clones! It kind of ruined the shot so I had to do something else.
kitsunelegend Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 You know...as cool as the Ju52 is... I just want, no NEED, my C-47 Skytrain to be added. I'm practically in love with that plane! xD Still, the Ju52 will hold me over till then. I just hope she won't be hurt too much when all my flight time is given to the C-47 if/when shes added. 1

They should put a different developer face on each of the 12 guys.
