Werner Voss's Albatross?

Hey All, does anyone know if a skin has been made for Werner Voss's Albatros? (Photo attached). I've always loved that paint scheme for some reason...

I agree with you @vonrickenbecker, but it's a D.III ... which we don't have yet. I'm sure it would be one of the first skins made if we ever do get the AD3. Fingers crossed.

think it's my all time favourite Alb. The other Jasta 2 D.IIIs were fantastic as well. But yeah, we don't have the right aircraft model in game unfortunately.

Yeah, if there is a FC Vol 2, my hope would be for a late 1916-1917 scenario with Alb D.III, Sopwith Pup, and Sopwith Tripe  

 

I am aware that this particular scheme of Voss's was only ever applied to the D.III variant, I was just curious if anyone had taken some liberties and made a semi-historical skin for the D.Va. Thanks again!

To be pedantic, when we do get our DIII, it'll be the wrong model DIII to make a lot of the skins including Voss's. We will be getting the OAW version with the rounded tail as well as other details but the one pictured above is one of a very long list of skins that uses the Johannisthal version with the cut off tail.

 

Jason told us long ago that we didn't need another Albatros. Most begged to differ. Hopefully at some point we can get other versions of aircraft and their engines
