Cannot log into game

I'm having trouble logging into the game. I have not seen any other posts so I'm assuming it's just me?

I verified file integrity, restarted and all that good stuff. No luck.

Windows defender definition update and I also run Bleachbit (like CCleaner).

I think it was related to Bleachbit

I was just having an issue with Firefox losing all my bookmarks. There was a red bar at the top of Firefox saying there was a conflict with another program. I uninstalled a couple of programs I installed yesterday but that did nothing.  After several web searches I uninstalled Firefox (I thought) in Control Panel with the intention of reinstalling it. I clicked on the Start tab to open up Microsoft Edge and noticed the Firefox icon was still there. Clicking on it opened up Firefox complete with my bookmarks. Long story short, sometimes I hate computers, the internet and tech in general.

Fixed it. I was about to nuke the install and start from scratch, so i was going folder by folder looking for things that need to be backed up when I run into the solution:

In the "data > ACCData" folder i saw three files, which seem to be your credentials to log in (encrypted). 

There was one with today's date while the others were a couple of years old. I just deleted the file with today's date and Voila!!

Just wanted to leave the fix here so if it ever happens to people they might find it.

 

Even better, just delete all the files, the game will generate a new one.

@Jade_MonkeyI got that a few times in the last week. Repeated clicking eventually got me in. Will try your solution though.

 

EDIT: Didn't make any difference for me. Still had to click the Green button 10-20 times before it would connect, and when it did it tool ages to get to hanger.

 

Have also had problems with this IL2 forum site. The site won't render correctly or this comment/reply space is often greyed out and i can't post.

 

HOWEVER: If i connect via a VPN (set to another Country) the game start smooth and fast, the site renders fine and comment/reply space is white and accessible!

 

Its really frustrating. Seems like my IP address is not making friends.

I'm in Malaysia.
