Oh, I've sat in that plane! (7343). I'll tell you what, pretty luxurious for a WW1 ship...

...The Alby is nearly as pretty as a SPAD VII ;)

You've inspired me tu finally build a proper simpit with your photo in 7343 :).

Saw that blue/green Pfalz all over the joint yesterday. Had to steal at least half of my kills. Did you ever go higher than 500m or is this a special Polish version ?

I climb it to 2k then dive on people below 500m and kill them before energy runs out. This, keeping pilot alive and looking awesome are bout only things Pfalz does well.

(although mostly I dove at planes that had upper hand or S.E.5 pilots that were just getting away anyway, so I like to think most of these kills were reclamation rather than stealing. It's a bitch to climb back up  before I can have another 100 seconds of competence.  Had at least 40% of my kills stolen miscredited, too)

Do you turn that fan on hi when diving for better immersion ?

The fan is for cooling, picture must have been taken in summer. I keep it in unconditioned attic, so in summer months keeping heat from accummulating in the box is a problem (it's one of reasons it's bigger than actual Albie cockpit, to allow air circulation around my body).

EDIT: I do turn on back massager on when running an engine, though :D.

Here is the final ranking from pretty to ugly, sorted by prettiest to ugliest category.

Any and all conflicting opinions are wrong and will be dealt with accordingly.

The Smooth Spinners (a.k.a. the prettiest girls in town)

  1. Albatros D.Va (because who cares if you fly like crap when you look that sexy)
    albatros_dva.jpg

  2. Pfalz D.IIIa / Halberstadt CL.II (tied for second place for that sexy perky spinner and at least 50% of the reason we're flying the CL.II)
    pfalz_diiia.jpghalberstadt_clii.jpg

  3. Albatros D.III (D.Va-like, but not phallic enough)
    albatros_diii.jpg

  4. Albatros D.II (it was not yet hip to be square)
    albatros_dii.jpg

  5. Roland C.II (actually damn sexy but that exhaust looks weird and wings too square)
    roland_ciia.jpg

  6. DFW C.V (distance between wings not aesthetically pleasing, too much weird stuff sticking out)
    dfw_cv.jpg

The Rotaries (tied with the Smooth Spinners if rotaries are your thing — if not, you're wrong)

  1. Nieuport 28 (see D.Va comment)
    nieuport_28c1.jpg

  2. Fokker D.VIII (not actually my thing, but 100% certain that someone has already tried to legally marry one of these)
    fokker_dviii.jpg

  3. Fokker Dr.I (see D.VIII comment, just replace the word "someone" with @Chill31)
    fokker_dri.jpg

  4. Sopwith Pup (if I say the word "rotary" and this is not the plane that pops up in your mind, uninstall)
    sopwith_pup.jpg

  5. Nieuport 17 / Hanriot HD.1 (tied for fifth place, if one of these two popped in your mind when I said "rotary", you may reinstall)
    nieuport_17c1.jpghanriot_hd1.jpg

  6. Nieuport 11 (almost tied with Nieuport 17, but too much weird stuff going on with that cowling)
    nieuport_11c1.jpg

  7. Sopwith Triplane (Pup with three wings, kinda weird but still sexy)
    sopwith_triplane.jpg

  8. Sopwith Camel (so I assume that some people think the hump is quite sexy looking — those people are called wrong)
    sopwith_camel.jpg

  9. Sopwith Strutter (why the long face?)
    sopwith_strutter.jpg

  10. Fokker E.III (like, it has charm and all with the pulley system and the flexing wings and... it's just not sexy enough)
    fokker_eiii.jpg

  11. That Russian thing with four wheels (no, just, no)
    sikorsky_s16.jpg

The Flat Noses (some of their cowlings could almost be mistaken for rotaries)

  1. Bristol F.2B (is that a Rolls-Royce Falcon III revving under your cowling or are you just happy to have me in your backseat?)
    bristol_f2b_fii.jpg

  2. SPAD XIII / Fokker D.VII(F) (tied for second place — mainly to prevent another senseless gang war)
    spad_13c1.jpgfokker_dvii.jpg

Nah I'm kidding, the SPAD actually looks better. SPAD. SPAD. SPAAAAAD!

  3. SPAD VII (SPAD.)
    spad7_c1.jpg

  4. Pfalz D.XII (unironically the prettiest machine of the war, ironically painted like an Easter egg)
    pfalz_dxii.jpg

  5. S.E.5a (racecar + doghouse = can't unsee)
    se5a.jpg

  6. Breguet 14 (Roland called, he wants his exhaust back)
    breguet_14b2.jpg
  7. Airco D.H.4 (it's as if they gave up halfway through)
    airco_dh4.jpg

The Stubby Noses (getting into kinda ugly territory here)

  1. Sopwith Dolphin (you either love it or you are wrong)
    sopwith_dolphin.jpg

  2. Brandenburg W12 (lots of weird things sticking out, and there's that inverted rudder, but check out those floats — unf!)
    brandenburg_w12.jpg

  3. R.E.8 (a truly ugly machine, but those horned horns are making me kinda, um, concupiscent)
    re8.jpg

  4. Halberstadt D.II (did they forget the spinner or something? why is the fuselage so thin in the back? also, is that supposed to be a rudder or a dorito? like, what? D-, see me after class — I have a few ideas how to sexify your design and make room in it for two, bow chicka wow wow)
    halberstadt_dii.jpg

The Pushers (not even trying to be pretty anymore)

  1. Airco D.H.2 / F.E.2b (tied for both first and last place in their category, and for putting the prop in the wrong spot)
    airco_dh2.jpgfe2b.jpg

You can't beat the tail shape of D.IIIa, mate.

(D.XII looks great in all-grey factory finish). And I like how the Pfalz D.IIIa / D.VIII / D.XII are very distinct plane, but you can see the same fuselage lines on the bottom of things.)

Yes and no, when whole wing is just big health bar , it would be abiused as was in ROF , but when there would be separate hit box for spars , flying  wires etc and rest is just  fly throw  bullet canvas it would be realistic to loose wing do the structural wing failure. But since we do not have that , yes FC stronger wings are better game option definitely.

I would like the ww2 dm future in FC - damaged control cables.
