No.23_Triggers Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Is it just me or are some Parser confirmations WAAAAAY too lenient? I've had times where I've done not an awful lot to an aircraft, only to find a seemingly free 'kill' in my parser stats later on... I checked my stats today after a quick sortie and found that someone had been credited with shooting me down on my last sortie. I was a little confused...so I went and checked their stats as well.... ....it turned out they got exactly two bullets into me, and a full 13 minutes later I accidentally landed at a disused aerodrome....awarding the pilot a kill! Madness! 1
JGr2/J5_Klugermann Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Shouldn't that have been regarded as a ditch ? (Btw what are you doing posting in the daytime) 1 1
SeaW0lf Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Those abandoned airfields should count as a successful landing, even landings on roads and such. The landing on active airfields could award most of the points, but I don’t consider a ditch if you perform a perfect landing in a farm or next to a city for example (if we did not have soggy soil on the map), or in abandoned airfields. 1
JGr2/J5_Klugermann Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Parser said he ditched with 0% damage. Cuban Spy did get 2 rounds into him. Perhaps ammo was dipped in curare. 1
HagarTheHorrible Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 I like the gamble of putting down in a field. Sometimes it works, sometimes it’s a mess. If I couldn’t successfully land at all then it would be a bit suspect, but I think it works quite well as is. Landing at an airfield active, or not, should to my mind be considered perfectly acceptable, if a penalty is considered it should be a reduction in allocated points. The only problem, that I could foresee with not awarding kills, if an aircraft successfully force lands in a field, is that it encourages attacking until the landed aircraft despawns.

US103_Baer Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 I believe the a newer version of stats server software resolves this (the ditching issue, not Klugs mask fetish). Saw a post about it a week or so ago but can't find it right now.

J5_Adam Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 (edited) Now that I read his post again, Broccoli, I think he's referring to his handywork at painting them. Still, the SPAD not the prettiest by default, he does a nice job putting lipstick on a pig.... you have to agree ? THIS JUST IN: SPAD spotted in Vancouver. We have a lot of SPAD's here. This one was out on his own. Edited March 1, 2020 by Adam 2
