KylerHolland Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 (edited) Hey there, pilots! I have no problem with landing Bf-109. But my landing is a bit far from absolute perfect. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it is a bit sloppy. So, I would like to know the landing parameters for this aircraft. What is the correct prop pitch position, what is the correct ATA and what is the correct adjustable stabilizer? I usually set stabilizer to +2 or +2.5 and ATA is around 0.6. Flaps fully extended. My landing speed is 190-200 kph and touchdown is at around 160 kph. Also, is there any good and comprehensive manual for Bf-109? Edited February 22, 2020 by KylerHolland
Dijital_Majik Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 (edited) Have a look for the specific 109 varient you fly in @SYN_Requiem's excellent video guide series for everything you need to know https://www.youtube.com/user/RequiemBoS/playlists?view=50&sort=dd&shelf_id=9 This video is also indispensible for general landing errors Edited February 22, 2020 by Dijital_Majik 1
KylerHolland Posted February 23, 2020 Author Posted February 23, 2020 Thanks! The video is ok, but he does not mention the stabilizer position for landing and taking off. I believe it has to be important.
Dijital_Majik Posted February 23, 2020 Posted February 23, 2020 (edited) Stabilizer positions are given at the very bottom of the "Specificatons" tab before mission start (Other stats such as glideslope and landing speeds are given also). From memory it's +1 for take-off, and I think, -4 to -5 for landing. Edit: Also, I find it hard to believe Requiem would leave out stabilizer settings, but it has been a while, so I went and checked the G6 video, and he mentioned both positions (+1 take off, and he used -3 for landing). All of his other 109 videos follow the same formula, so they should be the same. Edited February 23, 2020 by Dijital_Majik

It was the first video (I think) I did for BoS when it first came out and I didn't have all the documentation then that I have now. 1
