Remontti Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 (edited) I have noticed that I get little boxes that flicker in black and white when pilot is wounded. They kind of look like artefacts you would get if your graphics card overheated. But I don't think that is the case because they appear only when wounded and are not visible outside view. They appear only at certain places like edges of shattered cockpit glass or near roads. Just wondering if this "effect" is as intended and if others are having it too. **Edit** Here is video as requested and another. You can see that flickering near treeline. RNAS10_Oliver Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 Your not alone as I’ve seen this also.

The white dots are actually also known as "white mice" - a phenomenon frequently appearing when one is drinking too much. So don't drink when you fly/drive! Joking aside, it might have to do something with the rendering of the blood stains you see once in a while when injured - especially when crashing on the ground and pilot is not fatally injured. Maybe you should check your graphic settings of your video card - not ingame - and see if there are settings handling the transparency and anti-aliasing like (FXAA?). Cheerio 1

Thanks for clearing that up, I get it a lot when I'm on my bike in winter... in the dead of night.... when it's REALLY frosty......... and I'm drunk!!

It also happen to me when ride home with my motorbike late in the night - especially when drunk (shame on me!) to avoid some unpredictable traffic controls... I know, it's really a bad habit, but sometimes (seldom) it still happens - so, don't do this!

Remontti Posted February 12, 2020 Author Posted February 12, 2020 Added videos to first post. The first video shows it more clearly since there is no shooting and sparks flying around.
the_dudeWG Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 I’ve seen these as well. I’ve been trying to dial in my graphics settings after a new build/install, so I kept assuming that I’ve tried a bad setting and needed to revert to a previous setting. Once I started to realize that it was only appearing when injured, I just figured that it was an intentional effect or something. It’s definitely annoying.

So I see you made a video from the track, attach the track to the message, too, please.
Remontti Posted February 14, 2020 Author Posted February 14, 2020 Here are the tracks for both videos. When I play the track the flickering boxes might not show until I hit F1 and the view changes a bit. When the track is paused and I hit RAlt+F1 to look around freely in cockpit the boxes stay still if you keep the view completely stationary. The flickering continues when you move your view around.
