CmdrEffieTrinket Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 Hi everyone, Strange problem. Just last week I purchased BoS and Flying Circus on Steam. (Full price but I’m not salty about it ? ) BoS works fine and Steam says that FC in in my Library. However it is not. Even if I go to BoS properties and go to the DLC tab, FC is listed and the box is ticked an£ it says it’s installed. However, I can’t find any ‘play now’ button and I can’t find a FC install folder anywhere in steam apps/common. I have even read that deleting BoS and then reinstalling it may prompt a download of FC, but I did that and still can’t find how to play FC. When I start BoS, in the top right of the menu I seen a red label for Stalingrad and fellow that, a similar red label for Flying Circus. Neither do anything though. In my BoS mission selector I can see and click a WWI date, but only the base BoS planes are available to fly. Am I doing anything wrong? TIA
FTC_horsky Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 I had that happen to me once, I just validated the files through steam and it downloaded the new expansion.
CmdrEffieTrinket Posted February 6, 2020 Author Posted February 6, 2020 Thanks Horsky. I’ll try validating.
J2_Jakob Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 (edited) Not having BoS/FC on Steam. But here's one big misconception. Once you buy BoS, you already have all the content there is for FC (or any other module). By buying FC, you only let the client "unlock" certain features. For example granting you the ability to select one of the FC planes. Try this: Start BoS. Go into Quick mission. Select Entente or Central powers. Try selecting any aircraft in the submenu. Select appropriate opposition (again, from Entente or Central. NOT Allies or Axis. These are WW2 stuff). Try to fly the mission. There's only Quick mission and Multiplayer, where you can actually fly the WW1 airplanes (with the exception of the 3rd party software like Pat Wilsons Campaign Generator or Vanders Mission Generator.) ---edit--- Oh and after every purchase and/or update make sure to login online at least once. TIA Just start your game and quickly check your main entry screen: If you have a look at the top right corner of your game, you will see red ribbons telling you, what you own. So in your case you should see "Battle of Stalingrad" and "Flying Circus Vol.1" - that's it. And read, what @J2_Jakob explained to you. Thank you. Cheerio 1
