Dont like the photo too much!!

Too many spare tracks!! Only a few facts of many

When the KT was introduced first June/July (production turret) it had Zimmerit without spare tracks! I do not talk about the first 50 tanks (initial turret design)

In August spare tracks were mounted on  turret.

Mid September Zimmerit was deleted

In 1945 more spare tracks were installed + new engine cover/deck layout

Its only my own comment and opinion on this photo.

Hello from an old tanker,

it will be a nice surprise again, especially if

- the king tiger also gets the Fla-machine gun (remember = it is the removed tower machine gun!)
- the mud splashes off the tracks as you drive and the tracks dig into the damp ground - which you can see for a longer time
- when it is dry, it gets dust behind the tank more and longer than now
- the muzzle smoke first comes out of the muzzle brake on the side - and then also at the front
- the commander finally gets his binoculars

With the Panther I now noticed that when driving after the shot the muzzle smoke reacts very nicely and is shown - congratulations. Moving the heads of the swapped crew also makes the game very realistic!

I am still thrilled
!

Best wishes

Gaijin just wants to make you feel extra special if you buy the premium Tiger II (H) Sla.16. It does cost $66.42 AUD, after all.

WHAT?!? 66 AUD for a tank that doesn't even got a full interior??? Wow... and we still have some people complaining TC is expensive? Pff!

Hello tankers,

so I would not mind if you could buy a "dream skin" and version of your tank from TC for a reasonable price - it would be very individual and a possibility for everyone who is not graphically gifted.

Best greetings

In my lame defense: I chose the above illustration because it was the most gaudy one I could find to attract readers attention. I guess I succeeded in an unintentional way...BUT I stand by the suggestion of adding the King Tiger ( as long as I’m dreaming perhaps the Firefly Sherman conversion & the M-10 Tank Destroyer?)

More than any of this give us a career option & a really immersive scripted career or two around Kursk AND Normandy!

What about a Collector's Tank?

Would be a good option to add more tanks. I am sure many british and american tanks would make sence.

@Blitzen; the picture choose wasn't as uncommon as people may think, with ref to spare link mounted on the turret. :salute:

A Tiger II, belonging to either s.Pz.Abt. 503 or 509, destroyed in Hungary in 1945. This photo shows the method of attaching the side plates to the glacis, where the internal explosion has broken the welds, and the interlocking method used in the hull construction. Source: Panzerwrecks 3

In the final months of the war, some Tiger IIs belonging to s.Pz.Abt. 503 could be seen with additional track links fastened across the middle of the turret and even on the front corners of the hull, in an effort to provide additional protection for the crews. Source: Schneider

I think if the rest of the allied units are going to get updated to "modern" units for that time then it's only fitting to have the KT in game. Particularly for 1944 we have a great series of firing tests to show the issues US guns had against German armor in the ETO:

  • Shoeburyness, UK; 23 May, 1944
  • Balleroy, France; 10 July, 1944
  • Isigny, France; 12 – 30 July, 1944
  • Isigny, France; 20 – 21 August, 1944

Any "balance" issues will have to be handled by server owners/mission makers

I love the Firefly, flaws and all, but i do tend to have a fondness for stop-gap tanks (even the humble M3 Lee/Grant, Hetzer, Bob Sempel...). It would be interesting to see the Firefly recreated with all its flaws in-tact like the bright muzzle flash which made spotting the fall of a shot difficult for gunners. (Fun fact, the US 76mm M1 gun had a similar issue until the powder and primers were adjusted to try to burn more of the powder before it left the barrel, not sure if the 17 pounder got this change)

Yes, it should have all the warts and drawbacks if they were to include it. I think the immediate idea (if they want to continue the tank line) was 2 AAA units as seperate vehicles. Firefly would provide a nice counterbalance to the more potent German designs, Panther, Tiger, and Tiger II. (and the Jagd variants).

Or a TD like the M10.

I’d take a M10/M36 any day!  Excellent choice....

We need Tank Crew 2 The Battle of the Bulge, Ardenes.

I was thinking this over & thought that a small upgrade to the Panther that offered a newer model with a better hull mounted machine gun other than the early model we now have?

Panzer 4 were seen with tracks from the T34 on the front.

at Normandie a Brit tank would be nice...Comet !  and for the germans instead of Tiger2 the Jagdpanther because it was a defensive battle.

And most of all we need AA tanks or Halftracks with AA !!!!

In Warthunder they work very welltogether.
