It is not uncommon to see me online alone or with another player or two. In the last months, a period when I'm not that slammed, I've been flying on Flugpark every day. Damn... more than 60 hours so far in January. I even feel embarrassed. When FC was still releasing planes, I would make sure to seed at every release. To imply that I just go along indicates that you have not being flying here at all.

All this time you have been espousing the use of listing sites, but if you do not depend upon them, you must be suggesting that most of the community does.

You are wrong; we do depend on the list. There is no point in seeding if no one, and I mean everyone, even who got to the forum today and saw the barans list, is seeing me there. It is a matter of visibility, and I’m not sure why you don’t understand it. I respect your choice, but you won't make unlisted servers get populated just because you think they don't depend on a list. It is a natural process. If unlisted FC and ROF servers are getting below the radar and no one goes there is because something is wrong with the 'occlusion' method. No two ways about it. Won't comment further. Like I said in another thread #20_McGoun / dirtybiker has been working on some very war like missions for the full real. The dog fight server is still up in the air as to what will work, so some ideas coming from you guys would be appreciated. 1

By experience, i think a lot. I have the website on my mobile and sometimes I rush home if I'm out when I see that things are heating up. It is a chain reaction. Like I said, once NFF went unlisted, I just played there once. I can't be firing the game all the time just to see who is there. One player means a lot in terms of seeding. Once you got 5/6 players and the time of the day is right, you might end up with close to 20 players if the server has visibility, is listed, people know it on the forum, it has a thread on the forum, etc, etc, etc. There are exceptions, but I think the rule of thumb is ‘get your name out there’ or else no one will listen. The product is basically the same for all servers, then you can't play with the "I have the best toys" card. Perhaps Syndicate could use the "Syndicate" card, since it had this aura about it in ROF, but why not make it visible to everyone if you are expecting numbers? That's how it works in my opinion. 1

It's not only that black & white.... so: If I want to fly anyhow, I'll start the game and look in the server list there and if no server seems attractive I'll go and fly any SP mission or Campaign (or maybe simply decide to be the 1st one on a server).... But there are also such undecided situations, whre I am somehow in the mood to fly online for 30 minutes or maybe a little bid more if there is online fun available... => In that cases the info on barans site can definitely make the difference, if I mount all my devices, activate headsets & Track IR and start the game ... or if I call it a day...
