davidbrok3 Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Hi, Does anyone know how to utilize PBP-1 gunsight in IL-2 for ground attacks? I've seen videos that explaing VVT sight very well however i can't find any about PBP-1. I'm interested in using it to fire rockets and drop bombs. I don't have any problem using MG or canons, but when I want to try rockets they are all over the place (especially HEAT). I'm accurate with bombing more or less. Are there any rules to follow? Or is it matter of practice and expirence?
Lusekofte Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Bombing is a more or less accurate thing. Same with unguided rockets. Left rocket fire first, if you are close aim a little to the right
Mad_Mikhael Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 (edited) This method, presented by @Etherlight provides pinpoint accuracy. With a little bit of practice, it's even too easy. Edited January 24, 2020 by =LG=Mad_Mikhael 1 1

Set wind and turbulence to zero. - Never even touch the rudder when aiming! Make small corrections with aileron and elevator only. - If there's wind, align your attack with wind direction (into the wind or with the wind). A strong crosswind can literally blow your rockets away from the target. - Precise aiming with rockets is near impossible when turbulence is strong. Use bombs instead. The rest is intuitive.
