Question for Jason for Q&A topic

Hello,

Myself and many, many, others would like to know about the future plans for Flying Circus?

Right now there are just endless rumors and speculation and we would love just a little light to shine in and let everyone know what the plans are, good or bad.

I think that FC is a wonderful product with an already tremendous amount of potential. I sure have enjoyed it.

Many thanks to you and the developers for what you've already done.

My hope is that after doing BoBP, FC, and TC at the same time (an enormous undertaking), the devs want to finish TC before committing to a new project. It seems clear they would like to produce a FCv2, but I don't fault them if they want to deliver on past goals before setting new ones. Possibly stick to staggering two projects instead of delivering on three in short succession again?

Firstly, I hope a response is forthcoming and secondly, if granted, it meets with my approval. If not, I shall be very cross.

I have answered this question above. That's all I can say for now. Please keep conversation on this topic light.

Thanks for trying to keep it going is all I can say.

I hope my enthusiasm (for strange aircraft like the Morane L or things like more engine variants in order to better represent the diversity of Camel performance etc. etc.) is never perceived as a lack of enthusiasm for all the team has done. I can say that the team around this project has solidly earned my loyalty many times over.

I'd pre-order Vol.2 as soon as it was offered (even with no new aircraft over the RoF content) - but obviously you should only do what makes business sense and doesn't over-stress the programming/technical team. I hope we in the community understand that.

I'd love to see more FC content too, the existing planes are some of the liveliest and difficult to handle aircraft I've tried in a sim and I love them for it. I understand if the project wasn't as successful as the team were hoping, though. WW1 is very niche even within the flight simming world, and it's been very difficult to convince most of my wing to even try it as my brisfit gunner

Jason,

Thanks for giving us the best reply you could, and thanks for giving us FC1.  We will all hold out home for more in the future. ;)

Thanks Jason for the answer - that's more than I thought we would hear at that stage. Like others I'm really glad you did FC1. I wanted some WW1 flight sim action in VR and noone else was going to do it than you guys. And I think you did the right thing with the career considering the existence of PWCG. I wish the community could see that a bit more, especially when it comes to reviews about FC1. I'll pre-order FC vol 2 day one when/if it is ever announced. I sure hope so.

Jason asks:   but the question becomes how bad does the community want an FC2 to happen?

                   Answer:    REAL BAD.

Jason states:    The only way that it will get a green-light is if FC1 proved there was an appetite for more WWI.

               Response:     YES IT DID.

Jason asks:     And even if we say yes we want it, does our partner want to do it?

                   Answer:      YES THEY DO.

Jason asks:       Do I have the resources to make what the community says they want after FC1?

Answer:        OF COURSE. Maybe. Perhaps. Oh shit.  BUT THINK POSITIVE.

Fingers crossed.  I’ll definitely be getting FC2 if it gets released.

Even a 10x plane pack and no new map would be just fine for me.

Hell I'd settle for a few collector planes. Then I can send them out to my friends and try and get them hooked on biplanes

Totally understandable answer from Jason.

I for one would be very content with just having single planes drop every now and then to a collector plane price, as it is understandably not as economically viable for the studio to drop an entire planeset in the same way as BoX.

After all PWCG works perfectly as a single player component for FC. So i'd be happy with a slow trickle of new content for a realistic price. After all, supply and demand.

A couple of two-seaters as collector planes would be great to flesh things out a bit more .

But, that may be viewed as commercially a little risky from their point of view?

There lies probably the best option going forward, right now it might not be prudent to do FC-2 for whatever reasons the team and 1C has with it, however, thanks to the dedication and hard work of all of the development teams involved and those who purchased it so far we do actually have a base to build from.:drinks:

Health issues prevent me flying much, like others though I have supported the venture even though I rarely touch it because it was as far as I could see the only way forward if a new WWI adventure was to happen, releasing the odd collector plane here and there could possibly be a viable way ahead to build interest and cash without interfering with the primary business model of WWII going forward.  Now each participant understands just what is involved they might find windows of opportunity to add things piecemeal to help fill out what is there at the moment and wait to see if/when the best time comes about for a further full module.

Do not loose hope you guys that fly this regularly, from small acorns and all that, garner interest where possible and continue to enjoy what you have now and who knows.;)

Take care.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete.

...thinking the same way and started a poll on that approach I'd like to get an overview what majority of community thinks about that approach:

I'd like to ask you about the pilot and gunner models. Now that it is clear that they are to be revised (which I think is great) I wonder if there will be appropriate uniforms for bomber crews?
