Specially:
7. Updated texture cache system, it should reduce stutters in heavy load MP missions significantly;
8. Brightness and size of very distant aircraft LODs made more uniform (it differed too much on some aircraft);

Many thanks, a nice surprise.

 

Interested to see the work done on the river banks of Rhineland map, one of the first things i noticed when i flew it and was a bit disappointed, i look forward to seeing the improvement.

Schiphol should be fine:

If you don't see it, make sure you don't have Surface.dat files in your Rheinland map folders (you may have old ones there if you saved missions in the editor before and have mods enabled).

Let me clarify this a little bit. We think this will help with online stutters, but further testing with the public build will be key. It seemed to perform pretty well in Beta, but MP Beta testing is not so easy with a smaller group.

I don't enable mods but i fave Surface.dat files. Should i delete them?

Yes, the updated ones are inside the GTP archives.

Thanks. Things are getting better and better. Any info on coniferous trees for the Rhineland map? They are in Battle of Moscow. Any plans to port them over?

Seems that there is some significant improvement in the general stuttering experienced in MP. Stuttering was reduced and the improvement instantly noticeable from a quick sortie on Berloga during general flight where it was most noticeable in previous game versions even without lots of action onscreen.

 

Lets see if others notice the same.

I can echo this. I know Trip is in VR, but Im running TrackIR and noticed a signifigant improvement to the stutters. I have yet to try the new map though. That one was the worst for me online.

I wonder if the Panther will have its engine lifespan simulated similar to what is currently done for aircraft. Completely destroying it if operated too heavily for too long to discourage players from always using max throttle. 🤔
