Popular Post busdriver Posted December 30, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2019 Just a short note on @SYN_Requiem's airline pilot career advancement. Tomorrow (31 Dec 2019) he will fly his last trip as an FO (First Officer) at Endeavor Air. Early next month he will drag his sorry warm weather Aussie a$$ up to the frozen tundra that is Minnesota to complete his Captain Upgrade training. Think about it, he started his aviation career back in Jan 2015, and five years later some corporate lunatics have lost their damn minds and will be giving him the keys to a jet and allowing him to wander aimlessly east of the Mississippi River. Please join me in saluting his good fortune. Yes, extending your middle finger whilst chanting, "you're number one," would be appropriate. 28 4 9 22
TWC_Ace Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 What is even more amazing is that Cpt. Darling and I are the only one not becoming RL pilots in original =IRFC= squadron (from ROF).
BMA_FlyingShark Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Congratulations, Requiem. Have a nice day.
unreasonable Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Well done to Requiem. (He can always fall back on making corporate training videos if he gets bored of commercial flying). 1

Lusekofte Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 That must be a natural born leader / aviator. He shown here in this community a great passion on teaching everybody the in and outs of all planes, I am not surprised, but that does not make it less amazing
LuftManu Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 I am really happy for you Requiem! The pleasure of reaching your dreams!
Rjel Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Congratulations! I always admire those who follow their dreams and accomplish their goals.
DEDMANcjp Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Well done sir. You have the voice of an airline captain if I ever did hear one. 1
keeno Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 What a fantastic bit of news, really well done and good luck for the future.

Requiem Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 I appreciate the well wishes very much! Cheers everyone, it's definitely going to be a different experience in the left seat but I'm looking forward to it. Apparently it's a good gig as I'm told you get to fly with your favourite Captain every trip! YouTube wise the vids will continue in 2020 once I'm finished with upgrade training ? 7 16
JimTM Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 (edited) Congratulations pre-Cap'n Req! Enjoy your training! Edited December 30, 2019 by JimTM

69th_Panp Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Congratulations! Requiem! Jim You did say he would stay EAST of the Mississippi River right ? Whew I feel safe now ! as long as he stays on that side of the river ? 2
COVIDCowboy Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Congrats Requiem! Let your employer know that BoN will be out soon and you'll need some time to teach us all how to fly the new aircraft! 1
Feathered_IV Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Congratulations, this is fantastic news! I would be very happy if one day in the future I was sitting at a window seat and heard your voice on the intercom saying; This is your Captain speaking... 1
FlyingH Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 (edited) Congratulations! Are you staying east of the Mississippi as someone mentioned? In that case, if you fly across the "pond" (Atlantic ocean) we may have to keep our heads down when you make those low passes you show us in some of your vids! Edited December 30, 2019 by FlyingH 1
GSP_Hund Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Knowing all that is involved in "real" flight training, mucho respecto to Requiem! 1
von_Michelstamm Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 If I recognize his voice on a flight I better get a pre-9/11 style cockpit tour and a pair of those plastic wings they give to children 1
Bremspropeller Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Congrats Requiem! Now do some of that pilot-sheet! 1
E4GLEyE Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Congratulations and a huge thank you for your videos that aid me to flail around slightly more collected in the WW2 kites @SYN_Requiem 1
pilotpierre Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 A hearty congratulation Requiem for a well earned and deserved career move that has paid off in spades. Bravo Zulu.
Requiem Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 I'm out of "reactions" for a bit, but thanks again everyone for sticking your head in and posting. I'm already prepping myself for Minnesota weather by shoving my head in the freezer for 30 mins a day! 3
itsbillyfrazier Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 Congrats Requiem! I really enjoy your YT channel - thanks
spitfirejoe Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 Congratulations from another airliner Buddy. I know what those trainings and type ratings mean, lot of stress and endless study time. I wish you good luck and always happy landings. I just landed in cold Beijing, all best wishes from here. By the way, thank you for all your nice and helpful Videos about IL-2. Best regards and Happy new Year, Joe
