Bremspropeller Posted December 27, 2019 Posted December 27, 2019 Hi guys, just a quick question on pilot-careers: As in Bodenplatte there are lots of german units that are getting disbanded and transferred to other units (like III./JG 54 that blends into I./JG 26, while another Gruppe gets re-named III./JG 54) with no logical connection between the two - can the pilot then transfer to the historically following unit and could he actually transfer to another unit, once his original unit gets disbanded/ blends into another parent unit (like in the given example)? I'm currently flying a Dora-career with III./JG 54 and I wonder whether I'll have to start a different career with JG 26, or If my pilot will have the choice ("They're called orders, Maverick!") of getting transferred there eventually. Also, I'd like to fly an A-8 (well, more like a F-8 and G-8) ground attack career, but there are so many units that go in and out of existance during the different timeframes, it's hard to make a choice. I'd somehow like my pilot to eventually end up at NSGr 20. Maybe @LukeFF could take a break from beating numerous dead horses and help me out here. 1

Yes we can Go to the headquarter on top of your side, when you are in the career, and select the squadron you want to transfer to, on the map. It is the same map like when you want to start a new career. 1
1CGS LukeFF Posted December 28, 2019 1CGS Posted December 28, 2019 Just to add: III./JG 54 historically became IV./JG 26, but the airfields used by what became IV./JG 26 are all off the map, so you'll have to choose a new unit once III./JG 54 exits the map (which is in February 1945, at Babenhausen). 1
