TIGER H1 ( WWII Panzer )

Looking at the direction of the graphic in the 502 insignia, I was wondering if you didn't have the elephant facing the wrong way. Anyway, it is a beautiful skin for the Tiger. Very weathered and life-like. Hope it makes it as a consideration for the original release.

You will laugh ,
When I tell you that I didn't notice
Thanks for saying it!  :dash:

I hope you like the elephant! :scratch_one-s_head:

I have to admit... I have reworked Detkord's chains .(sorry).. . they go very well with this tank .. I hope you forgive me Det ...

You know everything for your Communeti ...

And at the same time a request to release!

I didn't think it was anything to beat yourself up over?, but it is a very beautiful version of the Tank Crew Tiger. I really hope you get what ever issue has to be worked out with DetCord so that it can be considered for the official release.

But just out of interest, something else you might not have noticed about the winter Tiger image you posted is its storage bin. The earliest production Tiger tanks from August 1942 were originally equipped with PzIII bins on the turrets rear. This could be an image of one of those early production Tigers, making it a very unique picture for historical reference.

I used the weekend to make my own variant of the chains .. anyway!

The Tank chains are like beautiful shoes for people and give the character of a tank.
But unfortunately you will miss out on the game!
Now imagine this tank with the winter chains, if you know what I mean!

Pin on Tiger 1.

Unfortunately the quality of the picture is bad

Unfortunately, I can't make it happen .. I could

over-paint
it  .. and work with bump effects ..

but the 3D-model can't replace it .. wel the hatch is too thick .. unfortunately!

this is my favorite perspective, this is where it looks so powerful!

Tomi_009, I'm not following you when you say I will miss out on the game, and what does the hatch have to do with the tracks? If this is in reference to my question about deleting a road wheel, then I don't see why it would be any different then the steel wheel mod they did for the T34. And in terms of adding realism to the sim, a lot of the tanks on the Eastern front especially from the SPA502 had the front outer road wheel removed. I don't know how you removed the fenders and turret bin, but those are also part of the 3D model are they not?

Aber nicht alles, was er sagt, ist verständlich, wenn er in einer anderen Sprache als Deutsch spricht:scratch_one-s_head: But if I understood Tomi_099 correctly, then to help anyone wanting to give their skin a more battle hardened look, I did a test to see which fenders can be deleted, and which ones should stay in case the tank receives a hit that causes damage to the fender area. Starting from the front and moving toward the back, on the left side (commanders side), it is possible to delete the last two fenders only. On the right side, it should be okay to delete the first front most fender, the second fender has to stay, and then it should be possible to delete the last two fenders. The pistol port on the right side should not cause any problems, as the hatch that it replaced does not deform or fall off with direct hits.

If a skin has all of the fenders removed with paint effects, then damaged fenders that deform but don't fall off when hit will look as if the deformed part is floating. Would this cause the skin to be excluded from the skins being considered for the official release? And if so, should Tomi_099 consider updating his SPA 102 Tiger skin so that just the fenders that fall off, or don't deform with hits are deleted?

Is it possible to make  skins from Otto Carius? That would be very nice.

Well I did ask, but your response didn't make sense really. I would have expected you to tell me that you can also make the damaged parts in the template invisible or something like that, but the most I could get from what you said is that you haven't tried what I was asking about yet. Which was what happens to the parts you made invisible when they become damaged, will you see what looks like floating damage marks?

Regarding the perspective, I did a 360 heat-fest and what you see is what you get for the damage model on the fenders.

For the sake of adding more pictures to work from, these tanks are from the 2nd company SPA 502 early 1944, but not the tank of Carius.

IN WORK.

Simulate Tower Track

A 3D model would be the best result.

So we have to make use of the art .

This Tiger, together with five others, belonged to Companie Fehrmann (identified by the letter F in the turret number) of Kampfgruppe Schulze.

Companie Fehrmann was established in January 1945 in Oerbke Camp in northern Germany.

They set off from Fallingbostel towards the Weser and ended up in the sector of Wietersheim, where on the 11th of April the last Tiger was lost

An incredible piece of work! I've never seen anything like it. How did you create the 3D looking dds file - did you handpaint the 3D image onto a 2D surface? I've had to convert it because I don't use mods on to take advantage of your bumpmap and also my monitor is tuned different and I had to replace the Alpha layer because it didn't do anything other than create matte. But still - Wow! That is a piece of art. The textures are really clear and sharp as well. Amazing skin - Thank you! As soon as I get my new hardrive I'll setup a mods on version meanwhile I'll continue tweaking it to get it looking as good as in your screenshots. :good:

Thanks but the reason for not using mods is that I want to set up a new mods on version and am waiting to setup my new hard drive which has just arrived.

Meanwhile I am continuing to tweak your incredible skin to get it working for me with mods off. I am fascinated by how you did the skin. It looks like you scanned or had photographs that were then overlaid onto the dds as there are a lot of extra bits that do not match up in terms of location and resolution but I am very excited by what you have achieved.  It is great to see the results of a whole new way of doing stuff. I am surprised that my screenshots look dark to you as I would have expected to them to look washed out on your screen. I can't use your skin without adjusting it first as it is way over saturated and the contrast is massively too high for me. I can't show you this as taking a screenshot of what I see would be perfect on your setup as that is what you've created it for. (I should point out that I do not have a 4K HDR monitor and continue to use 3DVision so this might be the reason.)

However, just to be clear I love your skin and technique and it is easily my favourite Tiger skin. I hope you continue to do more and I don't mind in the least tweaking it to get it working for my setup. It is a pleasure to work on your artwork. The screenshots are more for anyone else who is in the same situation as myself just to let them see how good your skin is. Thanks also for the T34 video link as having watched it I just bought the video or rather my wife has and it will be a Christmas gift.

Hello freaks,

I also think the work on the various Tiger I versions is quite good. However, I am of the opinion that it would be nice if the various tank variants were also offered in good form by the manufacturer in the near future. With the Tiger I it would be the current version without Zimmerit paint - but with the additional chain links on the tower and the corner mirror view for the loader. Then the execution with Zimmerit and the additional chain links etc. should take place on the tower - everything still as "Tiger I - early" with the cylindrical commanders dome.

Tank_Tiger_I_early.jpg.5259c29f59b0437cfa59b9ec19d11baf.jpg

Then the version "Tiger I - mid" should follow, with the new commander's cupola and with Zimmerit and the other known changes.

963556314_TigerI_mid.jpg.dbe99af27d6b0577feefb566aa80a8ef.jpg

Finally the version of the "Tiger I late" with the steel rollers.

181597628_TigerI_late.jpg.042c184143d365e979297370e3ab9a27.jpg

The hint of the steel rollers in the "F13" is good - but leaves a lot to be desired in the excellent depiction of the tank so far. As mentioned before, I wouldn't mind if the additional versions were available for a fee. The same goes for the other versions of the Panther and Ferdinand (elephant), of course - to stick with the German tanks.

Good luck !
Guenther

My friend you said everything there is to say ...:good:

I don't use a 4K monitor - I have 2 Asus VG278HE with 144Hz clocks .. good for stereo glasses ..

I also have an HTC -Vive but not on my work computer ...

no, everything is ok with your Monitor and grafik card,

I see it in the environment like grass ..

I think you don't have to adjust the brightness of the normal maps .. you come close to my setup.

Flowbee could you publish us your variant ?

I got it finished and will send it to you as soon as I get back into my computer which is currently cloning onto a new fast hdd. I am very pleased with your skin as it has lots going on and is interesting. You can change it to your liking quite easily. I think a no mods version would be good to get included if that ever goes anywhere. ?

Here is a another skin I made using some of your brilliant skin and then blending it with a Tunisia 1943 Pz.Abt. 501 Tiger I was working on. There was no zimmerit on Tunisian Tigers and it didn't come into use until July 1943 however I really liked the look and thought it would make an interesting semi-historical skin.

I won't release it without your approval and besides just cause I find it interesting doesn't mean anyone else will. I just made it for my enjoyment historically accurate or not. It was based on this model picture.

tigerigc_15.jpg.33fe5b5dece6a73b1381092c7827c7f8.jpg

"Research determined that these vehicles MAY have been painted in “pea green” at the factory especially for service in Tunisia. They arrived with large white outline style numbers on the turrets. PzAbt 501 decided to repaint the vehicles in a more appropriate color once they were using them in Tunisia. The identity of this color remains a mystery, with speculation ranging from captured U.S. Olive Drab, desert brown, and gray-green. The author further speculates that the interior of the numbers was left in the original lighter “pea green” color. It was eventually put out of action on 1 January 1943 near Kairouan."

I might try changing the numbers to be bigger and will take another look at colour options. Anyway here is where I'm at. Just to be clear I am not spamming your post but posting here because this skin is based on your work and therefore related. I won't release anything based on your skin without checking in first. :)
