The latest from the 3rd Pursuit Group USAS:

Following a recent reorganisation in the flight roster, the 3rd P.G. is proud to announce that the 213th Aero Squadron has hereby been reinstated to active flying duties as of December 17th, 2020, and its original pilots are once again proudly displaying their US213 Squadron Tags.

The most recent graduate of the 3rd P.G's Flight School, Sgt. Picard, has become the newest addition to the 213th's flight roster, having joined the unit on the date of its reformation after receiving his U.S. Aviator's wings.

Along with the reactivation of US213, we are very proud to share that our fourth historical squadron, the 28th Aero Squadron, has now officially been posted to the front, finally completing the historical Squadron line-up of the 3rd Pursuit Group USAS.

Taking command of the fledgeling new squadron is one of the Group's most highly skilled and well-respected pilots, Captain Baer.

On January 14th 2021 the 3rd Pursuit Group welcomed Cpl. Jones into its ranks. A newcomer to Flying Circus, Jones has been posted as a Cadet to the 3rd Aviation Instructional Centre for immediate flight instruction, and we are looking forwards to him earning his wings and passing through to Squadron Assignment to become a full member of the 3rd P.G.

The 3rd Pursuit Group is actively seeking new pilots to join our ranks. Recruitment Circulars can be found HERE.

See the original post for more info on the 3rd P.G.

Great! More SPADs to shoot down (when I am not flying with them shooting down Gerries). A warm welcome to Picard and Jones, the new pilots of the 3PG.

The 3rd Pursuit Group welcomes the 3rd Aviation Instructional Centre's two newest cadets!

Cpl. Maxwell has a keen interest in USAS history, so he's been fitting right in! Although still posted to the training section, and despite being new to the SPAD XIII, Maxwell has already received his first official air victory confirmation on the group scoreboard. We look forwards to him completing his training and reaching Squadron Assignment!

Cpl. MacFadden is the most recent Cadet to arrive at the 3rd A.I.C, and will be meeting the Group's pilots for the first time today! We're looking forwards to having him along to his first training night on Monday.

Nice to see more pilots filling in the Entente lines. Maybe one day in the future I will not have to fly for the dark side.

Welcome boys!

The sudden surge of applicants to the AEF recruitment offices continues, as another two Cadets are posted to the 3rd Aviation Instructional Centre!

Cpl. Aiken is new to IL2, but has had prior experience in DCS - he has now chosen to return to the Age of Canvas and Wood, swapping out his Harrier for a SPAD XIII!

Cpl. McConnell is another newcomer to Flying Circus, as well as flight simulation in general. With a keen interest for the history of WW1 aviation, we are happy to welcome him both into the 3rd Pursuit Group's Training Section and the Flight Sim community!

NOTE:

Owing to this recent increase in new recruits, any further applications to join the 3rd Pursuit Group may be withheld to be approved at a later date while we focus on the training of our Cadets.

Chill Talby. If you were more like Biggles and played a straight bat you wouldn't have to quit. He never committed any crimes. Well, except the threesomes with Algy and Ginger. But they were different times.

________________________________________________________________________________

3RD AVIATION INSTRUCTIONAL CENTRE:

pGpQDE5.png

The 3rd A.I.C. sees two new recruits arrive this week, both of whom are eager to begin training on the SPAD XIII.

Cpl. Cassidy is the first of the new Cadet pilots, and has already shown enthusiasm in his first training session. We hope to see him become a true killer of the 3rd P.G.!

Cpl. Low has already gained a little experience and scored his first kills in the S.XIII. With some help from the 3rd P.G. training officer, we expect he'll master the SPAD in no time at all.

28TH AERO SQUADRON:

z2Sa8J8.png

Following the completion of his basic training, the 3rd P.G. congratulates Sgt. MacFadden on being posted to Capt. Baer's own 28th Aero Squadron. MacFadden has already done his newly-received Indian Head proud, having scored several kills with his new unit.

Really, man?  I was just like 30 seconds away from submitting an application. I’d even picked out my own personal Indian head.

No need to apply. We're good on toilet paper. Maybe if another round of coronavirus toilet paper panic buying hits again, go ahead and apply.
