Hello,

Has anyone made a skin with a grim reaper insignia ? I have no idea or skill set to make my own skins but was wondering if anyone could make a custom skin for me?  Thanks if possible in advance !?

Cheers

You are a saint.  I notice that the Udet Black skin seems to have Kissenberth's flower on the side, but then covered up, so I suspect that it was originally made from K's skin.  I appreciate the efforts!

Do you take requests?

Yes, but I have quite a backlog of skins to make so it may be a while before I can get to it.

Slowly but surely. HSD has given me inspiration to review, modify, update and make new skins. I hope to have it all done by the end of april, schedule permitting.

The Lozenge Update

After doing some research, I've had to correct a minor issue on the underside of the lozenge on my skins. While correcting the issue, I've gone through and adjusted the weathering as well. The changes are subtle, but more accurate to my eyes.

QLEhLj7.jpg

On5jh3S.jpg

I've also gone through and made minor changes to skins of Jastas 35, 47 and 79 in order to bring them in line with new information I've come across.

6c4GAhO.jpg

odY0kx2.jpg

e92xVSW.jpg

Included are updated skins from jastas 4, 18, 20, 23, 32, 35, 37, 40, 47, 56, 58, 67, 69, 72, 79 as well as three other non-jasta skins.

From now on, I will be uploading all my skins, current and new, to Haluters Skin Downloader. Anything missing at the moment will be updated and uploaded over the coming weeks.

Very nice.  Are these skins using new names or the same as the original(s)?  Will I need to purge the older ones to avoid duplication or will these automatically replace them?

I'm not entirely sure. I'd say nuke and pave before downloading the new stuff

Jasta 29 update

All Jasta 29 skins have been updated with the new lozenge as well as a yellow nose. I hadn't noticed the nose before, but upon careful examination of reference photos, I believe the nose of their Pfalzes to be yellow.

I got the two generics but didn't see 'Blue Nose', 'AS 22-325' or 'AS 22-296'  on HSD just now.  :scratch_one-s_head:

Strange, I've just deleted them from my skins folder and opened HSD. I was able to download them just fine. Try again and let me know what happens

I got them this time. :clapping:

Odd because both times I used your name as artist, checked all the 'type' boxes and chose SE5A for filters.

Well I have them now and can proudly fly through the Circus Skies in a US marked SE5A.  :thank_you:

Thank you for your continuing skinning efforts.

They might not have been curated yet when you first looked. If you try to find new skins before they're curated, they won't show up. The HSD guys are usually pretty quick about checking new uploads and making them available, but it does take a bit of time. You may have simply been a bit too fast for them.

Nieuport 28 C.1

Vicente Almandos Almonacid used this Nieuport to successfully cross the Andes. The evening of the 20th of March 1920, he started off from Argentina and proceeded to cross the Andes mountains at night. The snow-tipped peaks of the mountains and the sea foam of the Chilean beaches helped him navigate during the night. He crashed the machine upon landing, but walked away unhurt.

I might take that plane from the Arizona out for a spin once I get my simpit back up and running. Are there any planes specifically from USS Florida or Nevada?

Not that I know of, although I haven't done much research into it.
