senseispcc Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 (edited) With the announcement of the two Yak9 and Yak9T it should be logical to have a scripted campaign(s) for the Prokorovka map! I find this logical in sight that all the planes shall be there and the map also why not develop campaigns for each side and each type of plane that did fly in it. Mitthrawnuruodo Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 A scripted campaign requiring purchases of a Collector Plane not included with any Premium Edition and a map from the non-aviation Tank Crew is probably the least likely candidate for a feasible product. Nevertheless, as @Gambit21 says, anyone can do it. All the required tools are available. 1
Thad Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 (edited) Salutations, Yes, anyone can do it. The tools are available. Although, it would take a lot of time and effort in learning how to use the mission editor. Oh, and lots of mission playtesting and even more playtesting. Did I mention a lot of time for playtesting. Gambit21 Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 ...then when you're done you have to fix the bugs and do more testing. 1
JimTM Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 ...and in the end, you will be very testy! Check out the "Mission Editor and Multiplayer Server Guides" in this post, which includes the link Create a Sequence of Singleplayer Missions (Scripted Campaign).
Blitzen Posted November 17, 2019 Posted November 17, 2019 &My fingers are crossed...hopefully there would also be a lot of Panthers, Tigers & T-34s on the battlefied below & targets for the various ground support aircraft?
1CGS BlackSix Posted November 18, 2019 1CGS Posted November 18, 2019 I guess nobody will do such campaign: - you need to have TC and collector plane Yak-9 (Yak-9T didn't take part in the south Kursk bulge battle) to play this campaign - TC map is very "heavy" for any aviation campaigns - ТС map hasn't most of the Soviet airfields - after July 13 most of the LW groups left this area and was transferred to the north Kursk bulge, so you will not have the rivals (Yak-9 regiments arrived on July 10) 1
namhee2 Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 Unfortunately, making a campaign is not that easy:1) At least 6 months of exercise with the mission editor2) imagine a good senario ...3) Intensive research in specialist literature4) A lot of patience and lots of coffee (or beer)5) And previously agree with the partner6) test7) and again testing

Jaegermeister Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 I’m not sure why people exaggerate the difficulty. It only takes most of your spare time for 3 or 4 months... not all of it. 2

Thanks for your efforts Gambit21. Just between you and me, I find mission building a fun challenge and a game unto itself. In the end, I simply enjoy the process. Especially if others enjoy the final result. But yea.... it does requires a LOT of time, effort and attention to detail. Definitely not for everyone. 2

I agree with your philosophy on the process. It’s gratifying to recreate an episode in history and then be able to participate in it. The process is a bit tedious at times, but every mission is a small victory when you make it work and it runs correctly. I just looked it up and I started doing research and working on my current P-38 campaign at the end of May. Obviously I didn’t start work in the ME until the map was released, but yeah, 6 months already. ? 1 1

Ada Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 (edited) I mean, it's hard.I just wanted to say that it is difficult to create a historical reconstruction. Gradually, I buy all DLC to have it complete. I was just here to see what was being formed, nothing more. Edited January 19, 2020 by AdamKotikCZ
