Hello Motherbrain, I purchased Flying Circus with little knowledge or interest in WW I air combat. My intent was just to support the IL-2 franchise. You did an outstanding job with these missions. I very much enjoyed myself and it certainly piqued my interest to learn more about WW I air combat.

The lack of a career mode is the biggest failure of the game plan bringing it to the market as a graphic update of a small part of Rise of flight. Just laying focus on multiplayer will not work for this game. There are other developers in this genre IL2 will never reach.
I want to have a good variety of planes a huge career mode with lots of different tasks to fullfill and not messing around with ragekids online. I miss the patrolling over the sea with my Brandenburg, escorting bombers or doing recon flights in the DFW.
So thank you a lot to make this game a little playable for me otherwise I would have deinstalled this game again.

Download the "flying_circus_missions_1.6" and drag the contents (the folder titled "Flying Circus Missions") into your "IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles/Data/Missions" folder

I have Done all this!

 When executed within the folder, some are  in text and others as shown in ss and  not executable. But they did not show up any where when I activated game. Where are they supposed to show up in order to use??????

 

I am a senior cit with a lower level computer capability and win10. Any help would be highly appreciated!

@wildbill6641 Yeah, they're not executable files. Once they're installed in the correct folder (which, to me seems to be the case) you should have the missions available in the IL-2 Missions folder. See my attached images. Let me know what you see in this folder. S!

What Can I be doing wrong?

BTW. I'm in the Steam version.

Installed the missions folder in the missions directory, see screenshot 1, and I can see and select the missions in the game, see screenshot 2, but it stays in loading description and nothing happens. If I click START it brings me back to mission selection.

I Installed it two ways:

mission\flying_circus_missions_1.6\Flying Circus Missions and

mission\Flying Circus Missions

in both cases I got the same result...

Do I need to change any config on the game?  BTW. I'm in the Steam version.

Hi @rav707. Missions created before the last update seem to be broken. I messaged Motherbrain to let him know and he said he would look into it. Cheers!

Hey guys, you have to use resave tool in the editor. (tools and save all missions in folder)

Hi rav707, you may need to "recompile" the missions using Mission Editor, menu Tools / Resave all missions in folder.

Hey folks. I've been made aware these missions may be broken. I haven't been playing IL-2 in a while, but I'll go ahead and take a look at these and make sure they still work.

 

I also have a mission pack for the new Hurricane coming soon as well. ?

Hello gents. I've currently recompiled the missions and I'm currently in the process of going over, resaving and playing through each to make sure they are good to go.

 

I may even throw some new missions in there as well.

Update 1.7 RESAVE.

 

I've gone ahead and resaved the missions in the mission builder. They should now all work in the current version of Il-2GB.

Thanks after a long time away from FC1 and I do like WW1 sims and after seeing how much the new Woff is I can not afford it so back to FC1 and your missions are just great thanks for making them now we just want more WW1 stuff in FC and soon.

Do it yourself, you only need to open Editor-->tools and resave all missions in folder

Hi don't open the missions in the editor it will not work. Just open the editor itself and then click on tools/resave all missions in folder

I tried to download this and all I got was notepad???  Tried direct download.

Can anyone help..when I download this from the dropbox files all I get is a Notepad icon that cannot be opened.  Just shows computer language.  Is this still active?

Hi, thanks for this. Just tried it and downloaded and unzipped with winrar and then copied the folder as decsribed. I can see the missions ingame, but when selecting one it comes as loading briefing and doesn't move on from that. Can I just check these are still working with the latest build. Thanks in advance.

hi swoop, you have to resave the folder via-editor select it and HF (it will take around 5 min)
