Pikestance Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 First a quick question. In BOS, BOK, and BOS it has Single-Player Missions, while BOBP states; Quick Mission Builder. I noticed in the mission menu there isn't any missions for BOBP. How does one build a mission. Now my wish list,.. 1. Is there anyway it is possible to create a way to select modification without having to choose one of the playing options? Sort of a default setting for all modes of play. 2. Is there anyway, the developer's could in a mission where you can practice take offs and landings like in RoF. There is one for the Yak 1, but i do not see anything like it for the other planes.

You can do this in the QMB. Just select on the map you want to fly on, a circle with one aircraft in it, don't select any enemy and start your mission from runway or parked position. 6 hours ago, IV./JG51-Lanze_vonHaltung said: 1. I don't think so. 6 hours ago, IV./JG51-Lanze_vonHaltung said: In BOS, BOK, and BOS it has Single-Player Missions, while BOBP states; Quick Mission Builder. As Han stated, they are still working on BoBP, so it might be, that there will come missions in the future. 1
Thewood Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 Stupid question...if they are still working on it, why call this update a "release"? Why not leave it in early access?
Pikestance Posted November 10, 2019 Author Posted November 10, 2019 Probably the same reason why they think a $10 off is a huge enticement to purchase the game early. @Yogiflight thanks for the feedback.

ADorante Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 (edited) There are no stupid questions, at least this one isn't. My guess is to keep momentum and potential buyer's interest they are releasing it now. It's nearly feature complete and most people could enjoy it as is so why wait? The devs have a track record of constantly updating all of their products and christmas is around the corner. This is as good a time as any to call it release. Edited November 10, 2019 by ADorante
Thewood Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 Just seems like game developers are pushing the line back more and more. Alpha used to mean internal test build, beta used to be feature-complete and ready for external testing, and release used to mean released to initial feature requirements. Its hard to tell what state a game is in or what features are actually included on "release". Maybe if you sit on the refresh button of the forum and wait for some innocuous comment in a dev blog, you can keep track. Otherwise, I give up.

Part of me says that's what they can afford considering size of dev team vs. scope of project....the other part of me says they know people will buy it anyhow
Pikestance Posted November 10, 2019 Author Posted November 10, 2019 (edited) Sorry, I wasn't trying to begrudged a discount. However, I doubt if you willing to pay $70 that $80 is going to break the bank. If anything, the $10 off may actually harm sales. People may be more willing to forgo the two collector planes and pay less money which is far more significant. Its is also better for them, because some of those people may end up buy the collector planes anyway. Anyway, I am just pissing in the wind here; they would have a better idea than me what has worked in the past. Anyway, I would be nice if you can create a "master" default settings without having to do both quick missions and regular missions. They can set it up that all of your planes are in the hanger (one for Axis and one for allies), then you can choose which plane and all of the modifications there for everything. For me, it makes for a more logical and easier navigation. The same should be for the realism settings. Edited November 10, 2019 by IV./JG51-Lanze_vonHaltung

But Flying Circus is at a state where it’s initial feature requirements have been met. From the store page: 10,000 sq. km. map of the Arras sector in WWI including cities, towns, airfields and famous No-Mans-Land. Ten legendary WWI aircraft to fly - Spad XIII, Sopwith Dolphin, Sopwith Camel, RAF S.E.5.a, Bristol Fighter, Albatros D.Va, Fokker Dr.1, Fokker D.VII. Pfalz D.IIIa and Halberstadt CL.II. Also includes the Fokker D.VIIF, Bristol Fighter F.III and Halberstadt CL.II 200hp engine modifications. Numerous types of buildings, hangars, ground vehicles and scenery objects to enhance mission environment. Detailed and precise exterior models of aircraft with 4K skins. Full-scale 3D interior of each aircraft that looks amazing in VR. Fly as an observer/gunner in properly equipped aircraft. Custom skins support. Quick Single Mission generator. Two multi-player modes of gameplay - Cooperative and Dogfight. Realistic ballistics modeling. Realistic gun-sight visuals and operation such as the famous Aldis sight. Detailed physics model and performance of aircraft. Detailed damage model to simulate damage to planes made of lighter materials. Mission Editor support. Which of these hasn’t been fulfilled in the release version? 2
