What is the latest Great Battles version number?

3.201. Whenever a new patch is announced its in the forum post title for the announcement so that's a good way to keep track.

The game update posts usually list the initial update only and they include a link to the discussion thread for each update. If there is a hot fix, it is usually announced in a "Recommended Post" that appears at the top of every page in the discussion thread for the update.

Asked the question because when viewing Game Updates, saw 3.201 as latest version. And mine is listed as 3.201c as is mpdugas.

Yes the letter behind the number is for the hotfixes. The first hotfix is 'b', the second one is 'c'. However I don't really understand, why the first hotfix is not 'a'.

The version 3.201, and the first hotfix of it would be 3.201a. But I don't have to understand everything

Because if the hotfixes were denoted by an additional decimal place, the method used by many programs, the unfixed version would be 3.2010, and the first hotfix would be 3.2011  So a=0, being the first element of the series. The one before 1.....

The devs left out the a intentionally in the progression for the sole purpose of seeing if we would fall for it and have an entire thread arguing about whether or not it should start at a or b. They probably have a running bet on how many pages it will go on for.

/starting at b is the correct way to do it, fight me!
