Hi All,

I have finished my first Version of the Radar Bodenplatte Group and tested in 3 PWCG 6.3.0 missions.

General it works in the same way as Radar Stalingrad, Funkmesspeilung Moscow and Funkmesspeilung.

But because in 1944/45 on the western front advanced Radar Equipment was used I doubled the check zones:

In each Area a Check Zone with a big radius (message that enemy enters Zone / Einflug von Gegner in ...) and a inner Check Zone (Enemy / Gegner in ...)

Because of the big size of the map and double number of check zones loading of the Group and later loading of the Mission will take a bit more time but it seems to have no negative effect to the fps Performance (I flew succesfully 3 modified PWCG Bodenplatte missions).

Changed 27.10.2020: If anyone has Trouble with the size of the Group I have created a light Version with only 1 Checkzone per Area.

Installation: Just open the Mission with the Editor and File\Import From File import the Group (time ca. 1-3minutes) and save the Mission.

During my test I have Radar Bodenplatte already combined with my german-wingman-messages-v01e and Airfield-Tower.

ADDED 27.10.2020: PWCG Demo Mission with Radar-BP-02-light-beta and german-wingman-messages-v01e and Airfield-Tower:

Update 16.09.23 Radar Bodenplatte light for north/western part of map (Radar-BP-03-light-NW)

This version covers the North / Western part of the map.

I use it for german intercept missions created with EMG Nederland 42/44 Modification

The probability of Detection of enemy planes can be changed by editing the lines: Random = 95; of each Check Zone

Best Regards

This looks awesome! Is there a reason it only works offline? Would love something like this for my co-op PWCG Squadron.

Its based on checkzones by the look of it. It should work if you host your coops in a DServer if I know correctly, but it wont work if you host the coop from the game´s menu.

Hi Utopioneer,

you can try it with coop-missions. Maybe it works. But I don't have experience with online missions.

If you want to use it for online missions human versus human I think you should increase the Radius of the check zones so that they are overlapping a bit. Otherwise a very good Pilot could avoid detection by flying exactly on grid lines.

Good Luck!

Thanks for this work.

Looking forward to seeing more about this. I think what SP needs is greatly enhanced immersion thru realistic radio chatter, vectoring and spotting help from towers and other friendly aircraft.

Is an English speaking (US and British) version a possibility?

Now I’ll try to understand how to install it lol!

Installation:

All Versions of Radar-BP (BP for Bodenplatte) are for missions on the new Rheinland Map.

The Mission could be created by you with BOSEditor  or generated by the PWCG (Pat Wilsons Campaign Generator).

To install one of the available Radar-BP... Groups you open the Mission with the BOSEditor. After that you choose File\Import From File and import the Group  (from the Folder where it is located on your Computer). The Import from File takes about 30 - 60seconds for the light Version or ca. 60 - 120seconds for the Radar-BP-02beta.Group.

Which Version to be used:

If you want fly as an english or american Pilot use Group: Radar-BP-02-light-english-allied.Group

If you want fly as an german Pilot use Group: Radar-BP-02-light-english-axis.Group.

After Import from File you save the Mission and close the Editor.

Start IL2BOS/BP and select the Mission and fly.

Best regards
