VSN_Razor Posted October 14, 2019 Posted October 14, 2019 On the Me-262 Template, there Wireframe is not scaled properly with the rest of the template. The boundaries of the Wireframe do not represent the actual location of the boundaries, making it hard to align patterns that overlap the segments. So far, I noticed this on the main body of the Wireframe/model. Could someone take a look at this please? If needed, I can provide some pictures.
ICDP Posted October 14, 2019 Posted October 14, 2019 It looks fine to me, this is the wireframe from the official template. Can you check the alpha template to compare your wireframes? 1
VSN_Razor Posted October 14, 2019 Author Posted October 14, 2019 (edited) The error is only tiny, but enough for me, a newbie, to create some problems (But I eventually get over it...). Maybe you could upscale it a bit so the boundary is overlapping a bit more? This is an "issue" with all 4 sides, but only one part of the surfaces. Edited October 14, 2019 by VSN_Razor
VSN_Razor Posted October 15, 2019 Author Posted October 15, 2019 (edited) Hmm, it looks like it is not a scale problem but a position problem. I redownloaded the template and overlaid it with my current template, and the wireframe was at the exact same position, a little bit offset in the vertical. Edited October 15, 2019 by VSN_Razor
VSN_Razor Posted November 11, 2019 Author Posted November 11, 2019 I am not sure but I think you can see the little offset in your picture. Maybe you could take another, closer look at this?
VSN_Razor Posted September 18, 2020 Author Posted September 18, 2020 (edited) @ICDP When you look with top down view onto the model (and take the antenna as a reference), you can see the fuel sticker being exactly centered (pic 1) But now when you look at the place in the template and overlay the wireframe, you can see it is acutally offset (pic2) Also, what you paint as a straight line in the template on the side of the fuselage (below cockpit) turns out as a wobbly line on the skin Edited September 18, 2020 by VSN_Razor
ICDP Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Hi Razor, The wireframe does indeed look off by 1 or at most 2 pixels. The warping there is nothing I can do, the 3D texture mapping is cause that and you have to learn to work around those warps. This is the bane of skinners since the dawn of 2D textures.
VSN_Razor Posted September 21, 2020 Author Posted September 21, 2020 Okay, thanks. You got any tips for a workaround for this warping by any chance?
ICDP Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 (edited) https://btcloud.bt.com/web/app/share/invite/3lvSXmghFl Try this, it can be used help see the texture layout. Edited September 21, 2020 by ICDP
