Flying Circus Volume 1 is not coming with any campaign or career. But I do believe that Pat Wilson is going to support Flying Circus into his Campaign Generator.

Working on FC now.  Some challenges but it's generally going well.  Next weekend?  No promises but not too long.

I say!  This is rather good news Pat. This should put some life into the old girl ehl! Not mine, FC I mean. Although ….. hmmmm. Anyway, I look forward to it … and much quicker than I expected. Good show.

Setting expectations: Limitations are going to make the career ... somewhat  more limited than RoF.  No balloons yet, no recon photo, no artillery spot grid, no WWI ground units, only two 2 seaters and none of those recon machines.  As a result the career will play out much more fighter vs fighter than I would want.  Should still be fun and, of course, as new capabilities are introduced to FC I will continue to add them to PWCG.

Thanks Pat that is great news. If it's anything like your BOS or RoF it won't disappoint and will be great quality.

First of all, thanks for your hard work in adding the generator to the il2 series of sims and helping breathe new life to it.

To the FC devs: I have to say, I've been wanting to get into WW1 aviation for some time after watching Taff and Wolfpack enjoy Rise of Flight on their channels, but FC1 seems to be quite lacking for the $70-$80 they are asking. As someone that prefers to play offline, the lack of a career mode is rather disappointing, even more so with the lack of the items listed above.

Is there a more detailed list of what will be offered with FC upon final completion of the product?

As much as I want to get into WW1, I'll hold off my purchase until this is more complete package, but it seems like this will most likely be the case with a volume 2 release (if it even happens) and now we are talking about doubling on the price....

To be fair, it's been revealed that PW does receive some remuneration for his considerable exploits. In that respect it could be viewed that the devs are in actual fact providing a career mode.

As to price, it is expensive, but to exist it probably needs to be. Niche things often are. Remember RoF didn't happen all at once and was sold on a plane x plane basis.. not to mention scarfs etc. BoX is released in modules, that's their basic business model which I don't see changing anytime soon.

So paradoxically (and ironically), the more people that hold off because they want more content than offered, make it less likely there will be more content.

Yeah, sort of a Catch 22 thing.

Well, that's a bit of a flawed business model.  As it is, I'm not thrilled about the aspect of purchasing a module in the hopes of the possibility of a second one coming out in order to receive a more complete product.
