Main features of the update are the towns and villages inside and around the WinterspeltSt-VithAmblèveManderfeld square and the large Hürtgenwald battleground provided by AEthelraedUnraed. Furthermore, I added the city of Dinant on the river Maas and the environment of the Belgian As and Florennes airfields. The missing La Belle Haie farm has been added to the ManhayFraiture area. The town of Amblève has been provided by Jaegermeister and finally the city of Kelmis/La Calamine has been created and shared by VAG_Sevy.

The updates are available for the winter and the autumn maps, the two relevant seasons to reproduce the battles of the Hürtgenwald and the Ardennes.

Cheers

I admire your work, @Hamaha15.

I wonder if the concrete possibility of merging your updates with the official map is something that is being considered.

Cities are damaged in career mode.

It is maybe two and a half years old post, but the issues remain:

Cities maybe damaged no problem, but what about the trees which if I am not wrong even in the last version cannot be burnt or destroyed.

A completely razed part of the city with nice green and lush trees and fields is somewhat visually awkward. Same for bomb craters.

The speed of regeneration of trees in a bomb crater is just astonishing. ?

And a burning city where you see the nice green trees in the middle of the flames is not what I would say "realistic".

It could well be that the map making techonology used at its limits does not allow for such tree modifications.
