JonRedcorn Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Every time I go to play one of my 3rd party campaigns and do a mission it never saves it, I will quit the game and come back and all I have to select is "New". There's never a load button, could it be a "read only" issue on the folders? Haven't looked yet but figured I'd ask, I don't even remember where the files are located in the installation. Thanks for any help.
Sokol1 Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Look in ...\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\mission\campaign\"campaign name" (example: campaign_Dunkirk) if a file State.ini exist, this file register campaign progress, if don't exist create one, with this two lines: [Main] battleIndex 0 The number after "battleIndex" show how many missions of campaign you have flew, and so can load the next in the sequence. Can happens that Windows UAC rights for your user user account prevents create/write .ini files. 1

Only added the files to the game folder, so basically that was it.

Thanks for this Sokol 1 I too was wondering why this was occurring (Spitfire on my tail - pt 1 and 2 ) and yet it was staring at me all along as the others all have the 'State.ini'

Team Fusion FG28Artist Posted August 2, 2020 Team Fusion Posted August 2, 2020 As of 5.0 (August 6th, 2020) this is slightly changed: instead of a folder of the campaign's name, the state.ini filename is prefixed with the campaign's name. Now: ...\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\mission\campaign\source.campaign-name.state.ini ("source" is either bob, tobruk, or custom; on update from 4.57 existing campaign state.ini are automatically transfered into the new format when you enter the campign page first time). Old (for reference): ...\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\mission\campaign\campaign-name\state.ini 1
