Valve Index diffuser and teardown

When I got the first through the lens picture of Index to compare with Pimax5K I saw that the images on the Index were "softer" than the Pimax5K. Being on the pimax more raw than in Index.

Now I can check that the Index incorporate a physical diffuser just on top of the display to try to reduce the SDE.

So, the ingame AA might not be needed at all. This physicall diffuser filter doesn´t consume CPU resources at all ;)

Regarding this, yesterday I was testing in the Index (with SS140%) the ingame AntiAliasing filter of IL-2, with AAx0 (off) and AAx2.

Definitely I will keep the AAx2 since it reduces many ugly edges and distant shimmering.
