About Propeller Damage Model

After 3 years of game experience(IL2 GB), I found that I have never been able to use a machine gun to interrupt the damage effect of the enemy plane's propeller. The propeller collision and damage effect seems to be ineffective for bullets. Only when it is applied to touch the floor, collide with the enemy plane or land can the damage effect be calculated. In fact, the area of the propeller has increased the shot area of a part of the plane, which still has a practical impact on air combat.

1. Is it true that bullets did not damage the propeller?

2. Can the future be realized step by step, even if it is still not realistic enough?

3.Can I see the effect of my plane's propeller being broken or making a hole or the whole propeller blowing up when the engine is stopped?

yes, projection area of propeller from rear view is considerable, making it a easy target,  if the propellers could be hit by bullets and then infulence the performance of aircraft, it will be much benefit to noob pilots like me

Is there a sim where this works? And bullets can hit prop and damage it? Never really seen it anywhere.

Hehe, I remember wasting at least 15 minutes taxiing inch by inch so that our propellers could touch eachother. Thanks for reminding me of that.

Just the tips?

Actually, in all seriousness, I wish we could have the prop spin like in CLoD... when you slow it down you can see the individual blades rotating.... coolest effect ever

our slow mo replays in Great battles would be awesome and more lifelike :)

Like Reno air races...

individual blade damage would be sweet,
