Which files do I need to copy?

I'm doing a fresh install of Box on my PC, due to upgrading my CPU and motherboard. I want to keep the progress of all my campaigns and keep my keyboard mapping's, which files do I need to copy?

Normally I keep my gamses and a separate drive, but I wanted box on my M.2 drive.

Also it's the steam version of Box I have

You need to check in you root folder (data files) input folder Skin folder (if you have any installed) I very rarely play SP but I think you can also copy over the campaigns folder.

Further to this, I just upgraded my SSD and at the same time went from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Am right now downloading a fresh install of BoX. This is going to take between 7 to ten hours.

I have saved input, skins, missions and campaign folders. Are these likely to work going from A System 7 drive to a system 10 drive?

Also am I likely to stuff the download up if I keep using the PC to set up Track Ir, calibrate joystick etc etc while the download is in progress?

Just a tip,

When download is complete, restart computer before launching.

Using other programs should not effect anything

Further to the above, the Sys 7 input file did not work in the new sys 10 SSD. A friend (much more computer savvy than me), in his attempts to get it going, I think he may have buggered up the latest download input folder I had saved. Ergo that will now not recognise all the CH products, Combat stick, Quadrant, Throttle and rudder pedals.

The game will not accept any inputs from said CH products. I suspect the damage may have been done when I first open up the game and it said the 4 CH products were new. If I accepted the old devices inputs would be transferred to the new devices. it would only accept OK, not cancel.

Does anyone perchance have a vanilla Input folder they could copy and email to me please? Or am I back to another 8 hour session to do another complete download?

LuaScripts/snapviews

or you have to set your default cockpit view again :)

also maybe the startup.cfg file, as you‘d have to set your settings again (graphics)

Sorry Steel Falcon, I don’t understand what you are trying to tell me here?

@pilotpierre

Not referring to you, but to OP mentioning he wants to reinstall the game. I find the snapview folder and the startup.cfg quite important and you save some time as you can keep your desired settings for graphics quality and also snapviews this way. When reinstalling, those 2 would be lost and the whole stuff has to be set again.

i unfortunately don‘t have any default input atm. But i guess if you have the game on steam, you could delete the folder (or copy it somewhere as backup, just in case) and then let steam verify your game files. This should (no guarantee, never tried that for Il2) redownload the missing folder/files

Unfortunately not on steam. Still waiting for a response from Il2 support.

Thanks for the input everyone, it's appreciated.

I copied all the files, everyone recommend including the startup.cfg.

After all this I installed my new AMD setup and the system booted  straight to desktop, after windows spent a few minutes configuring it's self. I was quite surprised and thought I would have to reinstall windows, especially as old cpu and chipset was Intel.

I will see how it goes.
