GasTeddy Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 APCRs still mostly go through w/o damage, especially in T70s. Shot 5 from 50 meters, no results. Needs almost every time several hits to every target, was it rocket launcher or truck. HEATs sometimes work, mostly not. Haven't had opportunity to test neither of them against live tanks. APHEs against live tanks are also bit questionably; 2 hits from about 100m to the back of T34s turret and 1 to hull did no job. It just accelerated away, turned and 1-pinged Pz IV. Later, flanked T34 from its 10, about 500m. 3 hits to hull and tracks stopped it. 4 more to turret and hull did neither smoke nor blow it up, but red tanker pulled the plug so probably some damage was done. So, using few clips of mg can do much more damage against static targets than several APCRs, HEATs or APHEs.
LLv34_Temuri Posted November 26, 2024 Author Posted November 26, 2024 The default durability value of a static T-70 seems to be 10000. We have it at 1500. I can't but state my opinion once again: static object durability has been broken since Kuban release.
LLv34_Temuri Posted November 27, 2024 Author Posted November 27, 2024 I did a quick test with two T-70s with durability values of 10000 (default) and 1500. I was able to destroy the 1500 one with a couple of APCR rounds, whereas I couldn't destroy the 10000 .

One shot kill T70 from few hundred meters and in same dugout, five shots from 50 meters had no effect. Yesterday, I (by accident...) shot bridge AA w/ APHE and big surprise, it worked. I killed 4 AA guns with them, but then again, every other object was unharmed by APHEs.
1./JG42flesch Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 (edited) Yesterday i shot from 600m with APHE to the side of an T34. I do 3 Shots and have 3 Hits. The T34 do not explod and only the Radist and Loader was killed. The Player endet the Mission. It was in Mission 17334 on 27.11.2024 Time 21.19 Hour. Every truck, T34, crate etc. blew up w/ 1 shot. APHEs are still rubber ones, did not try HEAT now. And yes, 1./JG42flesch, some T34s can take several hits w/o proper damage and then 1-ping even Tiger through front armor. Main sever "issue", I presume. Question: Where should I drive when finishing mission, tank not to be lost and myself not to be captured? Is it enough to cross red-white-blue (Luxembourg flag) line to own side, or beyond blue tooth line?

Then, five HEATs to its turret and it was still shooting back, so had to finish it w/ APHE. Bit later, KV1 killed w/ HEs, HEAT did nothing. Then, let's take a look todays (03/12/2024) CP2 at mission, which started around 10:30 Finnish time: It was almost 1 h drive from our closest spawn and in a middle of red camp, in their spawn, surrounded by AI guns of spawn and camps. I killed five guns and still was shot from every direction, when trying to approach. All reds needed to do to take it, was to spawn. Yesterday was similar situation.

This happens due to the dynamic nature of the system. It's very difficult to find settings that would provide an equal situation in every mission. Just like in war, you don't always have equal situation.

GasTeddy Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Rearming does not work at tank spawns. Refuels, but no new ammo. Tried several times from different spawns.
beresford Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Is the APHE problem still present? I've found that I can't destroy anything with it, even static trucks. Unfortunately it is the default ammo so I have to remember to swap it out every time. Other ammo types work for me.

APHEs are rubber bullets against everything except AI guns and player driven tanks. HEATs are totally useless. Most probably main server adjustments, as the problem occurred after update 5.504.
