What's your favorite BoX plane?

I recently saw the Topic for everyone's most hated planes and saw there hasn't been a topic about favorite planes since 2014. So with the release of many other  aircraft since then, and BoBp on the horizon. What are your guy's favorite planes to fly in this sim?

 

Starting with me. It has to be the P-40. The engine management tends to keep me on my toes. And, even though it is outclassed fairly easily by places like the F-4 and the A-3 and A-5. If you start from advantage it's a definite threat.

A very difficult question. I actually love every bird ^^ But if I had to make a list of the existing ones, it would be:

1. Fw-190 A and D series
2. P-47 D25
3. A-20
4. P-40 E
5. Spitfire MK. IX (at least when she's in the air)

 

The A6M2 Zero, if it were in the Sim would take place 1 immediately. The distribution of the others could also change with the P-51 D15 and P-38 J25.

As of right now, for me:

1. P-39L-1

2. IL-2 AM-38F (but like all variants)

3. MiG-3

(honorable mentions: P-40 E, A-20)

-- really hoping P-38 J25 will be top in the future *fingers crossed*

It definitively are the Fw 190s because of their versatility. Especially the A8, F8 and D9 variants. Would love to see a Ta 152 H0/H1 here as a collector in the future.

Being an early war buff, these two:

 

Allies: Mk Vb Spit ( I do wish we could get a MKVc with a Vokes filter and the extra cannon rounds)

Axis: Macchi 202 (The later 205 would also be a great addition.)

 

Both outmoded by 1943, but a delight to fly.

Spit Mk Vb and the 109 K-4 (mostly because it has a fresh cockpit, the rest are old/low rez cockpit).  After that? Probably the 262 but I've always been a 262 fanatic.

 

It wouldn't shock me if my answer changed when the P38 comes out.

A20 is too smooth for me, no quirks no faults

it is probably correct and historical in every way but that make me fly it less??

I probably enjoy flying the Spitfire Mk Vb the most, as well as the cockpit layout. However, it's not very competitive.

Im waiting P-38 to be released.

 

I hope someday im able to fly Me 410 as well.

On Soviet side i hope for Pe-3.

 

For single engine fighter its the Macchi MC.202.

I agree with this, it'll probably be my favorite when it comes out too. I love it in DCS so I'm excited to see it in the BoX series

Oh god man... hows that thing behaves in grounds drives me totally mad, to the point that I dont even fly it anymore.

 

Now, to the OP... well I guess its kinda obvious in my case, lol

 

But if I have to chose one that's not the 262, Then the 190 A-5, the 109 F-4 or the G-2 (dat spaceship-like climb rate...)

 

As an special mention... the P-40, the kittyhawk, man what a beautiful plane to fly, feels so smooth in air, so sad that engine is not that much of a killer.

 

As an special mention v2: the P-39, landing and taking off in it its so easy and at the same time so much fun.

 

As an special mention v3: The Rata, I love to fly it so low that I almost crash i to land.

 

As an special mention v4: La5-fn, the acceleration on it its ridiculous.

 

Hell I thought it would be a short reply but It seems like I suffer the same syndrome many players do, the "which plane I like?... Oh damn, I like them all and cant choose!" syndrome

The P-40 is a lot of fun. Too bad, we only have the VVS loadouts - I'd love to have some "Kittybomber" DAF loadouts.

The airplane does have a lot of personality, too - being flown in almost any theater of the war.

 

The A-20 is arguably the most fun airplane to fly in BoX. Can't really put my finger on it, but flying low as a section, sneaking through the trees, raiding a target and then hoping to make it back alive. Lots of suspense and fun.

 

The Fw 190 would be my favourite "real life" airplane, but I have flown so many virtual hours on this airplane (mostly in the riginal IL-2 series), I rarely like to fly it nowadays in order not to make the flying boring.

None of my favorite planes is among those I would fly real life. 

They are simply the ones that intrigue me most. 

I would have flown the devastator and kate most if we had pto. But never in real life
