Four engine bombers

I think that the Pe 8 or TB 3 have a stake in the game. Special the TB 3, because the airplane was very versatile. Not only as a bomber but also as a transporter. The TB 3 would compensate for the fun in the game more.

You'd better take up playing the original Il-2 series as you're never going to see those here. The Pe-8 was never used in that either; a complete white elephant although a beautiful model. The TB3, however, was a great dogfighter!

Edit: just discovered that this is still up on YouTube - the only time a Pe-8 made sense!

Very early days for YouTube. At the time it looked ok. Edit: Esp on a much smaller monitor than I have now.

I don't think it gonna be a realistic plan...

Do you think he may well be on the Dalton highway heading north? :)

As in, if he doesn't get cold feet after crossing the Yukon River, he will probably wind up with a dead horse™

Do you live in Alaska? Didn't know Dalton highway before, but it looks beautiful. And the name joke is fun, though I dont know whats the connection between the two sentence?

No, I'm from Scotland, it does look beautiful though in a remote and cold sort of way, not unlike where I grew up :)

It may be a little on the cryptic side for an international English forum, I'll make an attempt to explain it to you in a PM as I can't get it into a spoiler for some reason.

Oh this might help, it's what you get when you reach the end of the Dalton highway, heading north :)

I prefer to see either before a B-17 or B-24 or a Lancaster, as we have the maps to use them. I really prefer the Pe-8 and TD did an excellent one for original IL-2 series, so references are most certainly available.

Soviet side really lacks a transport aircraft and a bomber that can carry a decent bomb load, of say 2000kg or more.

The TB-3 was used in the Battle of Moscow, Stalingrad, Kursk, and Leningrad.
