Missing Mission Files

So, recently I started to play around with the ME, but a friend has an issue concerning missing mission files. I created a simple dogfight mission, used the in-game dserver, and we were both able to spawn in and fly the mission. When my friend opened the ME and tried to load the mission there were no files showing. Using file explorer shows the mission files in the correct folder, and he can start the mission w/o any problems, the file just doesn't show up in the ME load folder. He's tried deleting the cache files, but that didn't fix the problem. Any ideas on what may be going wrong?
