Jade_Monkey Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 (edited) I had a working group to illuminate the airfields at night. It seems like the landlights are not working since (at least) the last patch? I am using the force complete low MCU, and worked just fine before, as a matter of fact i used a group that I've had for a long time. Anyone else has this issue? Or has something changed in the way landlights need to be turned on? Edited June 26, 2019 by Jade_Monkey
JimTM Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 There's a few posts about the issue starting here (no solutions yet though). 1
Sketch Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Does anyone know if the landing lights have been fixed?

I asked AiraHusky about it and he said that they couldnt include any of the fixes in the last patch because they were knee deep in replacing the FOMOD sound code, so I think these fixes will only come with the next major patch when they update the sound code as well.. https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/51576-force-complete-and-landing-lights/?tab=comments#comment-784467 1

jollyjack Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 just tried in a Kuban SP, on a sturmovik they worked, navigation lights too. but it seems if not all planes are fitted with them. haven't seen search lights and fire pots on night missions so far.

The issue is with the light objects that are place on ground, not the lights in planes.

jollyjack Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 (edited) Now i got the landlighter MCUs working, game 4.005, but how can you aim the light beam? Got a group working thanks Jim_TM's tips, only i cannot find how to aim the beams, well sort off; ... you can aim the Lamp cart by zooming in in daylight and rotate the the lens, a jumpy affair with L-Contr Edited April 13, 2020 by jollyjack
Sketch Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 To rotate the beam on the ground? Watch my video (it's less than 10mins long, and I made it for you specifically). It's hold ctrl + hold left mouse button and drag the mouse to rotate an entity. Vertically? Use the searchlight vehicle instead of a landlight and it'll track any opposing planes... (but you can't manually position the light vertically; you can only rotate the orientation of the vehicle... See the image below.)
