Fw190A8/F8 official 4k Skins historically corrected (faulty links fixed 06/07/22)

Well I’ve been at it again, no not that, this, find below links to the official Fw190A8/F8 4K skins now made historical.

Default = \IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\graphics\Planes\target folder\Textures\?????.dds

Others = \IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\graphics\skins\target folder\?????_skin_*.dds

 

Target folder = fw190a8

 

Make sure mods is checked and as usual any problems just let me know.

Good stuff... As to having mods on being checked, I don't do that and still I get to see the corrected skins.

By the way, are the 109 G14's on the list? I'm not sure if their default skins are actually 4K.

G14 is only 2K at the moment, but if that should change then I'll correct them historically too.

BTW, are there 109 G14 historically correct skins?  I did one for the default but not the others.  Can't find any.

That's for the normalmap texture.  For these skins use the following:

 

\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\graphics\skins\Fw190A8

If you load the default skin into that path as out lined by the author you will end up with the picture below when using the default viewer, as for the other skins I renamed them  and installed via the path \IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\graphics\skins\Fw190A8

I have them in those folders, but I have to have mods enabled to see the default replacements.

I didn't rename them though; would that change anything?

Dear Spudkopf

 

I'd really appreciate your help on this.

 

I downloaded the default 11 dds files and have placed these into my 'textures' folder under 'planes' - I have also placed them into the textures folder of my MOD folder (under 'planes' - 'textures') BUT I still get default skins appearing without the hakenkreutz - I'm bewildered and confused!! 

I've installed skins (with the hakenkreuz) for other German aircraft and these work correctly.

 

I'm sure that I must use the standard 4K normal map for the Fw190-A8 with these 'textures'?

 

I'm obviously doing something wrong, but I just can't work it out!!

Used 'file' instead of 'folder'

Mungee, only the first skin >>   'fw190a8.dds' should go into  graphics/Planes/Fw190A8/Textures

 

The rest should be placed in >>  graphics/Skins/Fw190A8

If you, as kendo has said place all the skins other than fw190a8.dds (which is the game default) into:

 

.......\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\graphics\skins\Fw190A8, then all shall be revealed.

 

You may need to have mods enabled as well to see them, this is what I do, and it all works well for me.

Faulty links fixed 06/07/22

Hi all,

I have noticed that the  "Official" FW-190A-8 skin flown by Herbert Bauer I/SG 2 fails to MOD with historically accurate markings! 

I really like the scheme and was wondering if it can be made with historical markings. Furthermore, I just have a preference flying aircraft with accurate/historical markings. 

None of the mods for accurate historical markings seem to work on this particular aircraft. All the other Official skins for the A-8 are historically marked with Swastika after modding.

Any ideas?
