All VR users get the long-awaited fix of an aircraft propeller that looked distorted with VR reprojection turned on.

Thanks a lot!

They could have delivered the P51D or P38L with the Me262, one of those 2 planes. But it is more important to launch aircraft for Flying Circus. And we all celebrate like seals. ?

That's a pretty big assumption about where things are in the development cycle.

Very difficult to deliver on time the P51D there is little material to design this plane, so few fly in the actuliality of the p51 ..... seal applause !! ???

Waiting for reports of the first SE5a vs Me262 dogfight

It's harder than it looks!

On a related topic, the SE5a was doing a split s when I managed to get a lucky cannon shot on its tail. I can't say I've seen that from the AI before.

You fixed the ASW artifacts in VR! Thank you! Awesome! ASW allows to run with half the CPU requirement.

Now the only thing left are sunray-flicker-warp with ASW, and a stronger VR-zoom! Then we won't even need the mod anymore to not kill friendlies all the time  ?

Thanks, very well!

Is this just for oculus or all reprojection?

A silly question but where can I find the procedure for starting the 262?

Is there a QMB that starts on a paved runway? Seems odd in a 262 lifting from a field.

Push "e" button, the first engine will start, wait him to reach 6k U/min, then push the 1st motor ignition and maintain it (new button to key bind), the U/min will reach 1200 and fall to 0, at this moment push the 1st motor throttle around 18% and stop pressing ignition. Same procedure for the 2sd motor.

Aaaaand when will you release the map?

...I'm just kidding :)
The Me262 is fun. Finally I got my "Wunderwaffel" and it was worth the wait.

Downloading now, thank you very much, really appreciated.:drinks:

That is a awful lot of changes to take in, will keep me out of mischief for a while.;)

Now, how does that crash and burn thing go, I just cannot imagine I will get that jet off the ground in one piece first time around, or second , or third.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete.

No, no, no - you're using the inside scale on the tachometer for engine startup. There is no way in the world you can get the RPM to 6K before hitting the ignition switch.

Anyone figured out a solid procedure for inflight restart following engine failure? I just managed to ignite/detonate the engines a few times while attempting to restart.

I wondered how long it would be before someone wanted to show off the superb combat ability and performance of the 262...

Throttle complete back. Press and hold the ignition button. If the turbo is running at ~2000 rpm, move the throttle gently to ~20 percent. If the turbo is running with 3000 rpm, release ignition button.

I have testet a little now, (with easy engine management....). It is possible to take of from most airfields, but it's REALY hard. You have to takeoff on at 200 kmph and retract landing gear instantly, at that point you are staling, but its possible. Landing this thing is really the hard part... It wont loose speed, and when you finely drops to below 400 and deploy flaps and gear you instantly begin do drop speed fast. You really are a siting duck on landing, no way around that.

In QMS I managed to down 4 pe2 easy, and the me262 keep's it's speed in climb and turn really well ?

Gotcha, certainly the default binds leave a little to be desired here. Its kinda hard to hold right shift+E and move your throttle at the same time.

Binding it to switches on my hotas helped a lot.

This update was the work of several teams. They were producing different projects that all had to merge into a single product and work together.

A most awesome accomplishment.

Loving the updates, and new aircraft. I was really looking forward to the 262, but after flying it for a couple hours, I'm just "meh" about it. Not saying it's terrible or anything, I just love flying the 190A-5 and 109G-6 too much to really learn the intricacies of the 262. Perhaps I will change my tune about it in the future when we get more Bodenplatte aircraft and the Bodenplatte map. The current airfields that can handle the 262 with a full fuel load and bombs for takeoff are few and far between. It would be better if we had an option to choose any airfield for quick flights and I'm not savvy enough to use the mission editor currently.

I am in love with the S.E.5a though? Seems very forgiving with my hands at the controls, unlike the Dr.I or Sopwith Camel

The 262 is great fun and I managed to land it on my first attempt. Hint: drop the throttle FULL back far from the landing threshold.

The weapons are REALLY powerful; I was dropping 88s with one shot; cutting wings off!

GREAT work! Thank you!

One possible defect, the instrument illumination didn't seem to work.

I took a P30 up directly after the 262 and was amused by its pea-shooter.

Thank you for all your hard work guys .... what a list of changes!! Fantastic.?

Thanks, I didn't see the inside scale, was looking on the outside one. I usually learn alone, the hardway, it took me more than 3 years to find the fuel gauge in the mc202. ?

I don't have access to IL-2 GB right now, so I'm curious about what happens to the turbine RPM if you shutdown an engine and accelerate / decelerate - Is the windmill effect simulated?
