Well the problem is always pricing of something new in relation to selling time. I had to upgrade with an RTX i thought when shopping around and got a one decent 'upgrade' deal with power supply, modern RTX, MBoard, water cooler, i7 etc. Decided building a new PC my self as such (did it before), instead of meddling with and molding my old stuff. It all turned out quite well, lucky me. Done a lot of reading about modern systems, and i can recommend a water cooler BTW. Set all fans to blow outwards, the dust fight as always. Air comes in through the bottom roster, with an extra 4mm thick dust filter that came with our cooking exhaust vent system, and the I7 runs around 36 degrees Celcius non OC-ed.

But this RTX is hard to tune right, tips welcome.

Before i used an old R7 360 2GB OC, which could barely run a complex mission, no grass details f.i.

But as this RTX builds up new scenes it seems almost slower. Camera view switching even worse, but of course the details are better.

Honestly, if you don't absolutely need a card right now, it would be best to wait for Big Navi early next year to see if that can put some price pressure on nVidia.

Right now nVidia has no competition at the top end so their prices are still through the roof.

@jollyjackWhich RTX card did you get? There are a pretty wide range of them and people will have more tips of the know which RTX card, what CPU and how much Ram you have.

S!

I have no problems with the RTX 2080Ti, game is smooth and looks good. What settings do you use in nV CPL and in game? I do not use the GeForce Experience..
