356thFS_Piranha Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 Every time I try to make a combat report I get the fallowing message "PWCG was unable to find a log set for your last mission"', In the error log file it says "Set product to BoS", PWCG is installed in , F:\IL2 sturmovik\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\PWCGCampaign. Mission reports are being recorded in the data file. Any help willbe appreieciated. Thanks, Piranha
RedeyeStorm Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 Hello Piranha, I think you have logging off. That is the default setting. Search for ‘start.cfg’ and turn logging on. This is done by switching 0 to 1. There are to log entries and I believe you need eventlog or some such. Not at pc so doing from memory.
356thFS_Piranha Posted May 24, 2019 Author Posted May 24, 2019 Thanks for the reply [Pb]Redeyestorm, Here is the settings in my startup.cfg file. Mission_text_log = 1 as required. Is there something else here I'm missing? [KEY = system] bin_log_folder = "" chatlog = 0 debug_info = 0 debug_render = 0 dlgbox_sky = 0 gamelog = 0 keep_binary_log = 0 mgenlog = 0 mission_text_log = 1 modes = 0 playoffline = 0 reset_configs = 0 show_net_skins = 1 skin_dir = "graphics\Skins\" Thanks, Piranha
RedeyeStorm Posted May 25, 2019 Posted May 25, 2019 Yep, got the same in my startup.cfg. Then I don't know what the problem is I am afraid. Although if you are using version 6 alpha 2 then that might be the problem. Check out that thread and see if that matches your problem.
356thFS_Piranha Posted May 26, 2019 Author Posted May 26, 2019 Got it to work! I'm not sure how but I started a new campaign and changed the name from U.S to Test. Maybe the period in U.S had something to do with it. Just reporting in case someone else has similar problem. I could find very little on this issue. Apparently I'm the only one. Thanks
RedeyeStorm Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Glad you found your colution. I also know that in the past people had problems if they were using special characters in the name of their pilot. That dot is likely the cause indeed.

Thanks I had a similar problem and 'solved' it by creating a new campaign like you did. Mission Reports were generated but clearly PWCG couldn't see them or whatever. I guessed an errant character or space somewhere tripped it up but no clue where.
PatrickAWlson Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 If you can zip up both the campaign and the mission log files I could take a look. I know some people redirect their logs to a different directory and PWCG can't find them, but that is clearly not what is happening here. @AtomicP that is my best guess too. If that is the case I ave to tighten up campaign naming validation to make sure that any campaign created will work afterwards.
356thFS_Piranha Posted May 27, 2019 Author Posted May 27, 2019 Attached is the zip file. Sorry I deleted the Campaign file. Piranha saves files.zip
