Night time ground attacks

Hello, I haven't found anything on night time ground attacks and I'm having some problems with them. Was trying the Battle of Stalingrad: Night Strike mission where you fly solo Il-2 1942 a couple of times but everytime despite different approches I am having problems with spotlights. I mean I tried attacking from high altitude, going almost flat near the ground, constantly turning, reducing engine noise etc. but by the time I get to the spotlight it catches me, making it really hard to hit it with machineguns while having big white spot of light on my screen. What should I do to effectively destroy them? Thanks in advance for any tips/links.

To be honest if you are solo just aim at the brightest spot. ?. When flying with others one can be a decoy and the other attack without the light in the face.

@TP_Jacko I was afraid this will be the answer, well pilot's life ain't easy, gotta git gud at blind shooting, thanks anyway : )
