fiddlinjim Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 How can I relate the teamspeak listed server with the one I select to fly on (ie normal Europe or US) I can't see any relationship, please help.
LLv34_Flanker Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 (edited) S! Fiddlinjim, I think the TS3 server is for all regions, not just for EU or US. It just seems to be empty most of time, would be nice to banter with the forum personalities sometimes Edited June 26, 2014 by LLv34_Flanker
Gambit21 Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 I would feel like a dork talking to my computer - just can't do it.
FuriousMeow Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 (edited) I've joined it but very few are ever on. I use Dolby Axon for DayZ to talk to friends, I've used TS before but very few are on and sometimes I'm only up for a quick flight so don't bother turning it on. I don't see how talking over a mic to other humans is dorky. Skype isn't dorky. If more were on, I'd be sure to turn it on before joining online. Edited July 19, 2014 by FuriousMeow 1
=38=Tatarenko Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Used the official TS all morning, quite a few on, esp in the Russian channel. It added so much to the game, sorting targets, warning wingmen, changing targets mid mission etc. Best of all was it allowed team tactics vs AA guns and a chance to survive. Cheers Jason, please keep the server going.
Gambit21 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Huh? It's no different than talking on the telephone. Yeah I know - I realize it's my hang up. 1
Jade_Monkey Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I am also on the same boat with those confused about which one of the MP servers (1 to 4) are the Us Expert US normal etc Anyone willing to clarify? I'm particularly interested in US Expert server but I'm sure everyone else wants to find out the rest.
No_85_Gramps Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 This is just a guess but 1 may be EU-Expert, 2 EU-Normal, 3 US-Expert, and 4 US-Normal? With none for EU-light ? I tried it briefly once just to see how it was and I rather enjoyed it. I believe I was on EU-expert in game and server 1 in teamspeak. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I'll try using it again the next time I'm in MP. I rather liked the immersion w/the sound in the headphones instead of the speakers.
andyw248 Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I see folks flying on US-Expert on the first available Allied channel, just below the lobby.
Jade_Monkey Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Seems like there is no official answer on the server nomenclature and nobody has changed the names of the TS servers either. Just a tiny adjustment on that would make a huge difference for many pilots.
LastRightsXIII Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Just to let you guys know TS has an app for android. Seems to work rather well.
Jason_Williams Posted August 15, 2014 Author Posted August 15, 2014 Seems like there is no official answer on the server nomenclature and nobody has changed the names of the TS servers either. Just a tiny adjustment on that would make a huge difference for many pilots. I've changed the names a couple times before and added languages as requested, but no one is ever satisfied. You tell me what you want CBZ and I will change it one more time and then that is it for a while. The community needs to make up their mind. Jason
Jade_Monkey Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Sorry to hear that Jason. I thought it would be easier for everyone if the server names on the game and the names on TS are the same, so we know exactly where we are connecting without having to guess. So for instance, if the TS servers are named as EU Normal, US Expert etc, we should name the TS servers the same, so we know for sure where we are connected to. Thanks!
71st_AH_Hooves Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 That isnt going to last very long though, as new servers pop up after release, its going to be tough keeping up.
FuriousMeow Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 (edited) It's better if server operators can make their own TS servers, have friends operate TS servers, or utilize one of the hundreds of free TS servers rather than 777 operate a single TS server everyone uses. There is also Dolby Axon, it uses servers Dolby operates - just have to create an account and know individuals' emails. You can then add them as friends, and see when they are online - and then start up a channel with them and only them. Channels are invite only. It's a bit different than TS but doesn't require a server, just an account and to be friends with a couple of people then create a channel and invite them in. I don't know if that is against the rules to offer an alternative to TS - so if it is my bad and please delete this post - I won't link the URL unless that is okayed, but google Dolby Axon and check it out. Jason_Williams Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 I've re-named the top channel to Eagles Nest USA and changed the next channel to Syndicate Europe. I will re-name the rest to reflect the others soon. Once we release, if there are several "permanent" servers in the community I can also add channels for them when it's time. Jason 1
3instein Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Appreciate the TS server guys. I was wondering if you had any plans to have an app to see who is online, you know like a small window on the home page showing you who is on and what channel and whatever? Not sure what it is called but I have seen them on many game forum home pages. Thanks in advance, Mick.
oneeyeddog Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 I cant hear clearly whats being said on TS because of the in-game sound. Isn't there a way to reduce in-game volume whenever someone speaks on TS?
HagarTheHorrible Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 I would feel like a dork talking to my computer - just can't do it. You mean I'm not the only one ? How do I turn up the T/S volume so that I can hear it over the engines ? I can hear it fine on my desktop and up until the point I start up my engines then I may as well not have it on at all. How do I change channels and if I have to hop out of the game to do so what's the most efficient way ? Please be patient with this simpleton.

HagarTheHorrible Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Turn down the game then turn up your master volume. ......but then I lose loads of ingame goodness. I've only just started hearing hit sounds because I've done the exact opposite. If I turn down the ingame sounds heaven knows what else I might lose.

I used it in RoF and it worked pretty well.
avlSteve Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Sounds like something I need as well. I went to teamspeak / eagles nest today. Once I started my engine, I could only hear that people were talking, but couldn't understand any of it.
wellenbrecher Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Many folks simply don't seem know the server exists. Yet, I hope. When we started talking about it today in chat, a short time later the Eagle's Nest channel was packed. Axis and Allied one. And I can echo what someone said earlier, it was so much better than just having your squad in a channel. Confusing at times, but better.
SvAF/F19_Klunk Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Im using Teamspeak viewer on our squadorn page and it would be great to be able to list your TS as well.... what is your Server Query Port? default is 10011 thanx... //klunk http://www.svaf.net
Chuck_Owl Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 One suggestion, if I may. There should be sub-channels for flights (like Flight 1, Flight 2, Flight 3) for mission-oriented servers like Eagle's Nest and Syndicate. 1
Wanderer37 Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Thanks; sounds interesting. I'll check it out this weekend...
LLv44_Oke Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Can u add a finnish subchannel ? Thanks Oke

-NW-ChiefRedCloud Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I cant hear clearly whats being said on TS because of the in-game sound. Isn't there a way to reduce in-game volume whenever someone speaks on TS? Try keeping the game sound UP and tune it down for the game via your Windows sound in your task manager. This should allow you to hear all the in game sounds but up the volume for TS. You may have to play with it a bit. Chief

Isn't there a way to reduce in-game volume whenever someone speaks on TS? http://addons.teamspeak.com/directory/addon/miscellaneous-plugins/Volume-Control-(Windows-only).html Set to 0% and game is muted while someone is speaking. 15% is working fine. 1
