BP_Lizard Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Howdy, VR folks. Little bit of help here, please. How do you guys adjust the default gunsight zoom view on VR? Currently, mine looks like as if I'm looking through a long tunnel with the numbers so tiny thus unreadable. I have 3D Migoto. Although the zoom function works great, I have to keep pressing the button to keep it on while I make the sight adjustments which makes it really awkward. So, is there a way to adjust the default gunsight view to make it larger or, at least, make the 3D Migoto's zoom latching on demand instead of only temporary? Thanks in advance. 1

I haven't tried with tanks but for planes you need to enter the game in 2d mode, load a plane, asjust your default view with the num keys and hit f10 to save. Next time you load up in VR you will use your new default position. For 3dmigoto: Locate this file: \bin\game\users_settings\user_keymapping_zoom.ini for [Key1]; [Key2] and [Key3], change this (type = hold) to this (type = toggle) 1
kissklas Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 I tried using a tank in VR a little while ago, and as it is now, I think I'll use a monitor if I play again. The sight was way to small, and the rotation of the turret wasn't followed by the VR view, so I ended up wrapping myself in cord more or less. I lost the sight once and was trapped in a sea of black before I located it again. Also some of the views seem to follow the same restrictions as turrets in planes, with no 1:1 head movement. To me that is a bit jarring. Very cool to see the tank from the inside though, I must say. 1
HansBlitz Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 I fly VR but play tanks on monitor because of zooming in more on the monitor - not just the main gun sight but the commander position as well. 1

I changed it to toggle but still nit latching. ?
Panzerlang Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 They need to put the turret controls onto WASD. The gunner shouldn't be able to drive the tank anyway. I've tried to use the cannon on the non TC tanks and with VR the gunner's sight is unusable unfortunately.

Do you use any mod enabler like jsgme or ovgme? I'm asking because you might have changed the file in the Mods folder. In that case you need to re-enable the mod to take effect. Also if you like you could copy the file content for [Key1]; [Key2] and [Key3] here and I'll take a look. 1

Thank you very much. 1
