I had a guy spawn 40 times in front of me until I ran out of ammo and I couldn't move to capture the flag as I had to keep my gun trained on the magic spot.

If your tank can't move the battle is lost.The Tank is lost.

I feel like there are a lot of MP issues that will have to be addressed with mission design regarding how spawning, availability and AI friendlies to bolster numbers and give players other tanks to hide among or use as diversions, etc.

If you are interested in the details, see the following in the mission editor manual (written before Tank Commander was available): Manage Airfield Availability (pg. 131) <-- Rather than an airfield, you need a tank spawn point called "fakevehiclefield". So you sat there and waited for a player to spawn FOURTY times in front of you?....Where you part of the problem or part of the solution to the problem? 40 times is a lot of times. The server(s) that have moved the spawn area a little ways away from the flag, perhaps with a few buildings or terrain separating them from each other, have been interesting. Takes more than one tank to cover the spawn and capture the flag. 1
RIVALDO Posted April 2, 2019 Posted April 2, 2019 Spawn area can be surrounded by trees- to cover from the planes, and indestructible objects like buildings and walls, or it could be in a lower spot around the hill or smth. 1
