BMA_Hellbender Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Probably the biggest question on our minds: is it faster or slower than the Camel (195km/h at sea level)? The official figures says: Tested on Kuban Autumn with 0 wind at sea level and radiator closed: This closely matches the Rise of Flight store figure of 190km/h, which was identical for the Camel. Bodes very well for the upcoming D.VIIF, which should have an additional 4-5km/h at sea level. 2
=420=Syphen Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Good news. I suspect online servers will now be Camel vs D.VII furballs then.
BMA_Hellbender Posted March 5, 2019 Author Posted March 5, 2019 (edited) From a very quick test, I could get 200km/h out of the Sopwith Dolphin, for an official figure of 203km/h. Definitely not much of a contender against either the more maneuverable Camel or faster SPAD, but she's a nice jack-of-all-trades. I will do extensive testing of her wing structure resistance to g-loading (same as I did for the Pfalz) and tendency to flip on landing later tonight. For now I still recommend Central pilots to exploit the absolutely insane 9g maneuver in the Pfalz against Camels, though I'll write a full multiplayer guide once we get closer to release, as I did in the past for Rise of Flight (currently maintained by @J2_Trupobaw).
