OG_FC Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 What would be an acceptable flight time to target 15min, 30 min, 45 min so if you were flying a front line Patrol and it took 15min to reach your first point on your Patrol, then 15-20 min on Patrol then of course time back to the Field. This is not accounting for encounter's with any AI aircraft, or Human Pilots. I have been working on a couple missions to host on my MP server Old Geezers VFG and was just curious what People would enjoy Flying. I have fallen for the Spad-13, love flying it reminds me of an old Criss- Craft Boat I had a Long time ago all that wood and brass switches.. Anyway just curious...

One of the problems with flying WW1 aircraft over the vastness of the steppe has been the sheer size and similarity of the terrain. The peculiar horror of the Western Front was the sheer static concentration of destructive power and massed armies into a very small geographical area. The speed of the aircraft and this concentration of forces into such a tiny area will serve to give your missions a natural feel that is impossible to achieve otherwise. I hope. 1
Zooropa_Fly Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 If you want to put up something before the map arrives... what's lacking is some 'fast food' action. AF's 2-3 Km's apart, and some bots that don't take 10 minutes to catch. Even on Shooting Stars the other day it took more than 10 minutes to get 2 fights. Same server in RoF I'd be shooting down 3 bots every 2 minutes. Whilst no missions or proper scenario's are possible just now, coupled with the fact that aside from Thu / Sun night the WW1 servers are usually empty... it would be better to have some quick action to keep the lone pilot / low numbers occupied with something to do. Such a server would certainly get my attention just now, because RoF action servers ain't what they used to be. Salute ! 1 1

I have to agree things will much more Immersive when the Map arrives, until then I am to busy trying to kill a Foker, or Platz (sorry if I spelled that incorrectly) to notice the scenery very much, I bought FC Monday I think Its a world of difference from flying the P-47, and it's been years since I flew ROF. But I am having a Ball with the Spad.-13. Blue Skies FC.

I do hope there will be a spike in new flyers when the map is released, because, at the moment, things are anything but good from the multiplayer aspect of things. From the single player point of view, things were always dire. That being said, it is still only a year and a quarter since it was announced and we already have four aeroplanes to fly, only seven months after the initial release! 1

I hope as well when the map is released it will liven things up a bit/ I had forgotten the fun I had flying ROF with the Black Haze Squadron great group of guys. I learned a long time ago Two weeks don't mean Two weeks. The map is probably the most important thing for Immersion concerns, flying over No Mans Land, dodging the Flak bursts hope they get it going soon maybe a smaller version like the Lapino map edited, to get people interested before the Main Map is released who Knows? J37_GCF Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 hi 51st_FC , nice can not wait to see a new FC server, there are a few but one big problem is most do not have a good ping rate, At the moment in FC all we really have is MP, dogfighting and dueling, but is still addictive as hell, if you want here is a discord group for FC we fly most nights around 20:00 GMT, your more than welcome to join, im grounded at the moment but 3 people online last night and flying together, not a squadran but just a chat room for giving shout outs when you want to MP in FC, and has inflight voice chanels. https://discord.gg/W9RV46p also there is the FCFurball event tonight 1

I am going to try and host as soon as I return from the Hospital in Georgia next week, Probably Friday since I won't be back till Thursday. I'll post something here when the missions are ready. OG_FC Posted March 1, 2019 Author Posted March 1, 2019 Thanks Everyone, Back and had good scan results should make it at least another 3 months, until it's time to ride those big wings back to Atlanta. Anyway I got I think will be a desent mission going on MP Old Geezers VFG server anyone interested in helping me test it out let me know I will get you hooked up on comms, and the server PW, Be ready in about an hour going to run it for awhile see how it goes. Got a few things left to drees up Flanders Airfield for the Axis, then it should be complete I hope. (VFG Flanders Verdun Winter Custom AI ) 3
