Problem with Steam or IL2?

Since the last update my game loads about 90% of the Time with only the two titles I bought from Steam BOS BOM. I have to restart the computer from shutdown in order for the Game to Load all titles BOS BOM BOBP BOK FC is anyone else having any issues like this. I searched the steam forums Found Nothing. Just checking to see if anyone else is having this Problem.. Not sure where to look next..

My Steam download of BoS won't load at all. Tried the Steam forum and no definite solutions there either. Nothing has changed and the integrity of my files has been verified. Everything else is okay.

 

I am considering uninstall and reinstall at C:/games/BoS instead of the usual default windows x86 and steam directory path.

 

Q. Will steam let me uninstall and reinstall or do I have to pay again?

no , why would you have to pay again? all steam purchases are lifetime.

as long as you linked your steam account then steam purchases and web site purchases should be on same account.

log a support ticket, most often its stuff like video card drivers etc, support can look at game log files to work out the problem.

note , there is a web client and steam client, for steam only use steam client.

sometimes things like startup.cfg get corrupted too, can cause load problems

I always log into steam before launching the Game I tried everything IL2 support sent me a reply while I was in the Hospital so just got back got to send them a screenshot of the main page Let's see where it goes from there.. It has to be in the startup cfg. otherwise why would it load only after powering down the MOBO. Thanks everyone for all the help. Blue Skies FC

do u have to login each time u run game or does it just go straight into the game?

and do u launch it from steam program or use shortcut direct to program

 

if steam is offline this might happen (ie steam can be in online and offline mode)

Update Downloadspeed is less then 100kb/s. Download from IL-Server no steam. All Updates in the past it was the same. I need hours to download. Wat is the problem? It's only on IL.

Im having the same problem. Very strange not being able to play.......quite distressing actually.........life is over  By the way I reinstalled the whole game and still have the same problem

Well, I have both installations - one standalone and one in STEAM - the update process via STEAM is always - ALWAYS - tremendously much faster than

with via Launcher (standalone installation). I do observe this every time we get an update.

 

My settings in the Launcher are:

 

[  ] Seed when downloaded

[  ] Prefer web distribution

No, for me it's better to have this option off - I did some tests since January this year and to me it seemed better that way.

Thank's for the answers. I tested all this options in the past include new installation.Nothing change the speed.
