I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did making it.

There are a ton of changes I wanted to make but I lost a lot of the footage and at that point I was not looking forward to starting from scratch.

There are but a few folks who know how simulation theater is performed, and Zetexy is a prime example of how IL-2 lends itself to works of representing the brutal art of war.  Your work is right there with his.

This video is easily among the best I've watched; all of the various the elements, from the dramatic to the sublime, were wonderfully blended to make an excellent story.

Congratulations for a job very well done!

Yes , very enjoyable to watch! Hard to see how you could improve much on that composition. Awesome.

Excellent work and music. I love the beginning with the village under the snow and the lights behind the windows in a house.

May I ask if that effect is made with IL2 or if it is  post IL2 effect made with a video editing tool are something like Adobe After Effects etc..

I would like also to know how you make the camera move so smoothly from the village  then up in the sky to show the airfield.

Are you using the Translator Camera Operator MCU but with what parameters. Do you need to give a trajectory. If yes how this is done.

I am trying to have the cameras do more than just a fixed frame but can't find how.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks!

The lights on the window are 100% in-game based on the car's lights, no after effects necessary.

Yes the I used the camera operator MCU combined with the Trigger Camera Point (see sample group attached).

I experimented with your sample group, and for sure I learned  many new things.  Sometimes I get weird stuff so I have to practice a little more. As this seems to be undocumented stuff, I wonder if all parameters have been properly implemented like "Padlock".

I have just another little question if I may bother you, about a flyby sequence where the camera follows horizontally at eye level from right to left the passing spitfire squadron.

I tried the Flyby parameter but then you get a flyby sequence as the F3 key. It may be the same except then how do you position the camera. With F3 you have no choice (at least to my knowledge) and it is the system that decides how to show the passing plane generally from above and facing the planes. I did not find a way to move the camera except changing the FOV or zoom factor.

Thanks again ?

You have to use F11 for free camera, position yourself where the camera will be, then use F8 (or Shift F8??) to do the padlock for friendly planes. Hope that helps!

It works but this is a manual mode. Is it possible to have this similar action made automatically in the Mission Editor ?

When I try I get strange completely messed up images, like a fixed image split in two along a vertical middle line, with half o the screen blurred and half more focused but on a position height and direction that have nothing to do with what is setup.

Simply an excellent video clip!  It is a pity you lost some of your footage, but I certainly did not notice it.  I have always admired your game work and now I will add your cinematography skills to the list.
